AI DEFINITIONS
When SUM-20 does not contain an entry, you can request an AI-generated definition. The feature is optional and can be disabled in Settings. Generated entries are clearly marked as unofficial and may contain inaccuracies.
ABOUT THE DICTIONARY
The app uses the published volumes of the academic 20-volume Explanatory Dictionary of the Ukrainian Language, SUM-20. Sixteen of the planned twenty volumes are currently available; future volumes will be added after publication.
UA Dictionary is an independent app. AI-generated definitions are separate from SUM-20 and are always presented separately from its academic entries.
• Search and alphabetical browsing now show 150,000 more Ukrainian words that the published SUM-20 volumes don't cover yet, including С–Я. These words have no entry: tap one to get an AI definition or search the web.
• Alphabetical browsing now has its own search. The “Only with definitions” toggle under All hides words without an entry.
• Word parts such as “...логія” and “дво...” are easier to find and appear under their own letter.
• Next and previous entries open without a delay.
