I needed to record a video demo of some software and looked around for tools. This seemed to fit the bill and purchased. It took a bit to figure it out, I am not one for help pages, but overall got the hang of it. Couple of things I would like to see is the ability to change the hotkeys to a larger group — the cmd-1, cmd-2 is a little limiting (I have like 19 function keys on my keyboard and most of them aren’t doing anything except taking up space). Second is better support for bluetooth audio. It may be there already (see above about reading manuals) but could not get them working. USB, plug-in, or built-in seem to work fine — some better than others.

I'm a high school teacher and I bought this to record my screen for lectures and other related things. The recording set up is very easy and the saving in mp4 is very fast. However, my only dislike is that you can either record your screen OR your webcam. I wanted to be able to put my webcam on one corner of my screen and record both at the same time. I've found that kids like the videos better when they can see the teacher as well as what they are talking about.For $20, I would have hoped there would be a little more functionality and customization. There are many FREE recorders that can do as much as this one. What did I pay for?

Really great. You need the pro version if you want to do longer video capture but it's a one time purchase and it's worth it. I have a second monitor so I screen record meetings on the other one while I take notes on my laptop. It would be a bit annoying and glitchy if I was using one screen and trying to do other stuff at the same time as recording a public meeting for example, but it's not terrible at all. Don't know why it's been so hard to find an app that records screens with audio. FINALLY

Great app for fast screen video captures. Includes basic editing and preview. Minor Improvements: 1. STOP button is very tiny and easy to visually miss with multiple monitors.2. Video and GIF buttons should be on right an left side of record options. That way muscle memory stops you from having to look at options each time. The app is sometimes buggy in selecting record area with multiple monitors.
