I think this is the perfect app. I am an amateur photographer, and I got this mainly for moon shots. I could plan ahead and use the app to find exactly where the moon will be in the sky for any given date and time. Then I discovered you can do the same with the sun, so I’ve used it for things like calculating the exact date that the sun would set over some abandoned train tracks near me. It does even more, but so far I haven’t needed to dig that deep. Thanks to the developers.

I have this on my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. I enjoy astrophotography so I use it often. It’s great for planning, when the moon is in a bright phase I don’t photograph the stars because of the light pollution, on those nights I photograph the moon instead. I can use this to setup my gear before dark so I’m ready to go when the moon rises. Plus it has no astrology garbage. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Thank you to the developers.

Helpful for bass fishing

I use this app for fishing. Fishing is supposedly best when the moon is directly overhead and directly under your feet on the other side of the Earth. Fish feed primarily during these two periods for roughly 2 1/2 hours, twice a day. Like most fishermen, I can only fish when I can but with this app I can attempt to plan to go fishing during a fish feeding period or after the fact can explain why fishing was so good last week but not so good this week.

Simple and sleek, but packed with info at the same time. I especially like being able to see the position of the moon and sun relative to each other on a feature that you can slide forward and backward in time. It really helps put things in perspective.
