This has been super informative so far! I’m embarrassed at how my current wardrobe barely has any of the colors in the palette the app identified for me, but when I pulled out a cardigan in my palette for a job interview and looked in the mirror, I was actually shocked at how my skin, hair, and eyes were glowing. The AI nailed it!! I think I’m starting to develop an “eye” for what works for me and what doesn’t, and that’s really exciting.I typically hate shopping for myself but this app has made it fun!! I love that it identifies when items are on sale and that there are a wide range of price points and sizes. I have yet to add my wardrobe but I’ve purchased a few things for myself already and I’m excited to start a wardrobe journey that finally makes me feel confident. My only suggestion for improvement would be a sorting feature so that perhaps you could sort items by price, new additions, etc. but without the sorting feature, I’m still enjoying it because it’s encouraging me to consider items I ordinarily wouldn’t. Love this so much!!

Borderline Unusable, Has Potential

This app is borderline unusable– its automatic cropping of uploaded images usually cuts off the part of the image you want and often makes it splotchy, it compresses images and makes them poor quality and blurry, and, it’s near impossible to add information for an article of clothing, such as a description for due to some weird bug (try to click on it and it will either not recognize it or change the brand of the item), a brand (if you type it in and select it, it often will change it to a different one), or a title (same problem as the description). Additionally, the app is not good at identifying your color season; I recommend using different websites for that and manually selecting your season on the app. The color season palettes are lacking – it seems to just repeat the same few hues but with varying values (light/dark). It’s the same with the Kibbe type test; if you want to know your accurate result, take it on something else and manually select it on the app– given that it’s not very thorough and the examples provided don’t show a lot of variation in skin tone, weight, age, and features.It’s a bummer because this app definitely has a lot of potential and there are some cool and handy features, like using AI to generate outfit ideas or inspiration from pieces of clothing in your wardrobe, using your color season and kibbe type as shopping filters, and, letting you know if an item you’re thinking about getting matches things in your closet or not (it’s about 50/50 accuracy though). I’d love to see it improve, especially in the area of being able to add stuff to your wardrobe without difficulty.

Taking photos at night or under electric lighting may add undertones and make it hard to reveal your true color formula. One more tip: you can use the “Level up” button to balance the light. This is getting an additional star for the exciting vision, at least what I gather is the vision for this app. However, the execution is sadly lacking to the point where this is not currently useful. A minimum set of features would include more/better shopping filters and the ability to correct what the AI gets wrong (e.g., several casual day dresses I own were cataloged as cocktail dresses). While I’m aware that my personal color is rather unique — very difficult to “fit in” any category for really any system I’ve tried — the AI seemed to want to place me either in bright winter or true summer, two very different palettes and both not quite right. (I ended up choosing cold winter). Finally, using only facial features is not comprehensive enough to Dwyn Larson’s personal style system, and the little quiz to refine it was also too short/constrained. Also, the examples to look at when choosing manually only included photos of three white women (thin young celebrities at that) each. Finally, the selection of clothing items is extremely limited for women plus-sized items. There were only a handful available by each category and they were all black with some navy and a couple of eggplant colored pieces. This app has a serious diversity issue. Disappointing.

Lacking basic features like filtering

Looking forward to some updates that fix or make basic functionality like filtering to work. This app has amazing potential and it’s easy to use, but hoping there is a roadmap of simple bug fixes and ability to make your own pairings on the fly without having to edit a pre-generated outfit. I’d love to also for the user to be able to target outfits for different seasons and weather. Right now the app defines this for you. Also would love ability to pair more than 4 things together! Sometimes it picks a long cardigan sweater with shoes and a necklace or sunglasses (accessories) when clearly it’s be valuable to be able to pair the paints and layered shirt underneath the cardigan as well for example. The makeup pairing isn’t very valuable for me, but I do like the potential outfit purchases pairings with my wardrobe.
