TrayBien is designed for use by airline cabin crews using the tray method of drink service. After initially configuring TrayBien for the FA position and type of aircraft, the app takes beverage orders for each passenger and builds the several trays necessary for delivery. Multiple screens are used to facilitate this process, with up to three rounds of service per flight leg. Alcohol orders are noted in red text on all screens. Additionally alcohol order summaries for each seat for all rounds of service are provided to accommodate collecting payments. Paid-at-ordering (e.g., coupons) is also recognized. Easy pasting of a prior order to a subsequent round of service accommodates "I'll have another" without having to remember. Alcohol codes and other configuration items are retained across sessions and app updates. The latest birthdate to legally serve alcohol is reported to make that legal requirement easier to comply with. The "Tray View" optionally displays seat numbers to minimize confusion and mixups. There are several variations on service delivery methodology to meet most FA preferences. A detailed user's guide documents all of the features of TrayBien.
