UI glitches

I have used Clockify for many years and overall I like it. However, recently I've been frustrated by UI glitches in the MacOS app. Specifically, if the timer window has been out of focus for a while, the fields freezes up and I cannot edit any of the details for the current timer (eg. description, project, tags,...) without closing the timer and reopening it using (Bring to Front) from the taskbar. I would really like this to be improved because it really makes it a pain to edit the timer and has been happening more frequently.

I currently use Clockify and recently started using Plaky. I’ve been with Clockify since early 2023 and have always received top-notch customer support. Honestly, I’d stay a CAKE customer even if the products weren’t superior — the support team consistently goes above and beyond.Clockify occasionally has minor glitches, but they’re always fixed quickly in the next update. That’s expected with any app, but their fast, proactive response shows they genuinely care about the product and user experience.Both apps offer a generous free version. I’ve subscribed to Clockify’s Standard plan for invoicing for nearly two years, but otherwise, the free version meets all my needs.

Update to my original review below which I forgot existed and apparently felt the same as I do now; irritated the app only has 3.4 stars. I often base my decision to try a new app based off of reviews and it’s times like this I question said method as I am certain this is one of the superior apps in this category, yet I would’ve overlooked it if I was just beginning my search. Anyway. That’s all.I’ve been using Clockify for at least a year now regularly. Sure, I have complaints here and there. It’s not perfect, but I tried them all and this is the winner. It should have a better average rating.

I've been using Clockify for years and find it indispensable for my consulting business, where tracking time is crucial. As a single user, I appreciate how intuitive it is for managing hours on client projects. The developers consistently release updates and improvements, which I value. It’s the best solution I’ve found for both desktop and mobile. I’m surprised by some of the complaints and low ratings—it seems like user error is often to blame rather than the app itself.
