5 stars strictly due to graphics and how engaging it it. Im not sure yet if it’s truly pay to win like the other reviews have left. Least boring Spades game out(graphically). I really hope for this particular game to thrive above all other Spades apps so that I can matchup to more real life players. Partners and opponents suspiciously seem like bots on some occasions. The timing of them playing the cards are way too consistent like they don’t even think about whether they should just force opponents to bag or prevent them from reaching their bid. I hope devs don’t read this and try to randomize timing just to make me think they’re bit bots. I’d much rather wait in queue to matchup against real players than bots. Unfortunately there are more players in other Spades apps even though this to me is the best one. I normally like longer games, like to 500 so I can recover from having back to back bad hands instead of only betting NIL. But in this case most people probably can’t afford to stay in a game (time wise) for longer than 3-4 hands. After learning the game of Spades, every other card game is boooring! Please advertise to draw in players! Good luck devs!

Way too many ads, games too short, terrible teammate skill

1. I understand and accept having to watch an ad between games, if you play free version. Recently, I got a message “make a purchase, no more ads”…the same day they doubled the number of ads you have to watch between games. This is ridiculous. No other spades game does this. So transparently a cash grab by developers.2. Games are wayyyy too short. Why? So you see more ads. Doubles games go to only 100 points, so if your opponents gets a five bid and a nil bid, that’s it. No skill, it’s now just a game of chance. And almost comically ridiculous, solo games go to….60 points? What? Spades is supposed to be skill AND luck, but these low score totals make it 99% luck. 3. The skill of random teammates and opponents is not commiserate with my skill level. I win more than 50% of my games, and make 75% of bids, and 70% of my nil bids (would be higher if I didn’t have to make risky bids because winning score is so low). But I’m almost always paired with 30-35 winning % players, who make LESS than 35% of bids, and 20% nil bids. You get forced to make bad decisions, when your teammates can’t count books, can’t change their strategy, or plain don’t understand how to play. ——all in all, very frustrating game. Much better spades games out there (I’m not naming them so I sound like a shill).DEVELOPERS, IF YOU WANT ME TO WATCH MORE ADS, MAKE YOUR GAME BETTER. I WOULD PLAY ALOT MORE…AND WATCH MORE ADS.

Honestly, I love this game. I am addicted to the game of Spades and have tried many apps. This is by far the best one out there. It really keeps you involved and is highly competitive. However, its Pay to Play and perform…..i have hundreds of games under my belt using this app. It designed to get you to buy, buy, buy. In fact there are algorithms which manipulate the cards you get to disadvantage you intentionally. Not random shuffling, but random shuffling with skewed toward giving you lower value of cards when using “Tokens” to increase your winnings. I have yet to spend money, but even being a great player it knocks you down in standings by elevating those who buy large amounts of coins. Its obvious too…people who have low win rates, but win millions of coins, lead the League standings. To win that many coins and have a low win rate you have to play a-lot and spend a-lot. If your up for paying, its great! If not, dont get frustrated at getting stuck at lower levels playing with new and horrible players.

So I started playing about 2 weeks ago. I was plugging along. Sometimes I played with a partner and sometimes I played solitary games. A pattern emerged immediately. You can not win past a certain numeric value at each level and if you by chance make it past, the next hand you will lose even more. Cool, I play other games and this is just fun I decided, I will play within the parameters because this game is a game I enjoy and can play well. The hands are laughable and ridiculous but as long as I keepmy coins at a certain level everything should be fine. So today I am about to win and the game freezes. Not only does the game freeze but it plays hands for me, then accuses me of stalling, then puts up a new game and bids for me, a crazy bid that the cards don’t even support. When I attempt to leave the game a pop up says basically you are going to lose points if you don’t play this game. Really? So you are going to basically rob me twice and blame me, and then take about 20,000 of the coins I accumulated? This game is not that fabulous. It takes the fun out of playing and the game treats you like you are stupid. It is clear that not only is the algorithm wonky, they have clown 🤡 players as well to maintain order and those players are not bots they are actual players doing laughable stuff on there. I left today after I was able to accurately guess the outcome of 10 games in a row AND the game froze and took credits when I was about to exceed my token limit for that level. The game is garbage and the grift is right in your face, they can’t even wait to draw you in. I never pay to play so if the game cheats someone winning fair and square imagine what it does to ‘paying’ players. It’s only fun to play for about 7 days.
