TeraCopy is a utility designed to copy files faster and more reliably, providing the user with many features. Be in control In case of a copy error, TeraCopy will try to recover. If unable to recover in the worst case scenario it will simply skip the problematic file, not terminating the entire transfer. Unnecessary files can be skipped to reduce the transfer time. During the process, TeraCopy shows detected errors and allows you to fix the problem by recopying only the problematic files at any time, even after a reboot. File verification TeraCopy can verify copied files to ensure that they are identical to the original. This is done by comparing the hashes of source and target files. Import media files Copy photos and videos from removable storage into folders by date taken. Type of files, source and destination folders can be customized for all or selected devices only. Export reports Save file lists with all related information as MD5, HTML, or CSV files.

Just Downloaded and bought the premium version and didn’t check the reviews. As you can see in reviews some other people having the same issue that I have. Two stars just because of the resume option.

I have used this program on windows for years and I cannot stress how fantastic it is. Data corruption is rare, but I have seen it happen and it can be devastating if it is your photos or memories or documents that become corrupted. Any time I want to copy files, I want to verify they have been copied correctly and if need be, provide a receipt with checksums, which the windows version does effortlessly. This Mac version completely fails at this task. I copied some files, and then I introduced errors into the destination files. I re-ran the program and tried to re-check the source and destination files - and the results were extremely disappointing. Yes, it showed that something was off with a blank checksum field, but in a way that was vague, confusing and not at all appropriate for a program that is supposed to ensure file integrity. That error could have easily been lost in a list of hundreds of files, and you would never know what is wrong until it is too late. This program should be blaring alarm bells if it even gets a hint that everything is not perfect. I would gladly pay money for a program like this if it actually worked.

Works well for me so far. I had the older version too for a long time, but super excited that the new version has native support for M-series chips. In any case, the UI also seems to be better now, the old version had a bit of difficulty getting a source folder, but this one works like a charm. There are many other benefits compared to standard copy. The verify with checksum is super amazing. I tried using MD5, and also the xxhash-64, both super fast. Using it with external SSD.
