Every place has something to say — a story behind a facade, a schedule change at a gate, an offer at a stand, a warning on a trail, a note you left yourself last summer. Espy gives places a voice, and gives you a way to hear it.
Espy is a geospatial content explorer: festivals, museums, tour operators, campuses, and cities publish content pinned to real locations — and you discover it either simply by being there or by looking for it. Everything lives in veacons: virtual beacons holding text, media, offers, and rewards, pinned to exact spots, with 2D geofences or full-3D spatiofences around them. No hardware, no signage, no QR hunting — just your phone.
HOW YOU DISCOVER
Four ways, from curious to effortless:
• The Beam — Espy's signature gesture. Point your phone at a building, a statue, a hilltop; press and hold to reach farther; release to reveal what's pinned along that line.
• Ping what's ahead — a single tap reveals the nearest veacon in front of you.
• Look around — double-tap to surface everything within reach of where you stand.
• Discover as you go — turn on Proactive discovery and Espy notifies you when content you'd care about is nearby, even with the phone in your pocket. Quiet periods, working schedules and adaptive content keep it civilized.
CONTENT THAT FITS THE MOMENT
A veacon isn't a static pin — it adapts to each reader, so everyone gets the most out of it. The same spot can say one thing at dawn and another at midnight, guide you to the lawn in sunshine and to the pavilion in rain, whisper from afar and open up when you arrive — in your language, for your age tier. Published once — everyone gets the version that fits their moment.
WORLDS WITHIN THE APP
Scan a QR at a festival entrance, a museum lobby, or a trailhead — and step into that organizer's space: its own map, channels, content, and even its own colors and branding. Follow public channels, join invite-only ones or create your own for a private circle, or switch to Official-only mode for verified content exclusively. Switch or leave whenever you like.
COLLECT ALONG THE WAY
Creators can attach rewards to places: images, audio, passes, collectibles, and vouchers with real promo codes you copy and redeem*. Complete a trail, find the hidden spot, earn the discount.
AND WHEN YOU WANT TO CREATE
Drop your own veacons right from the app: a public story, an invite-only note for friends, a private reminder pinned to a shelf in a store. Or just speak — VoxPin turns a voice note into a veacon where you stand, automatically choosing the right category**. Then watch Highlights: views, opens, and reactions your content gathers.
Serious authoring happens in TS Studio, Espy's free companion web studio and the creative heart of the platform. On the big screen you draw polygonal and 3D geofences, compose rich adaptive content that morphs with weather, time, distance and more, write in multiple languages, set weekly schedules, manage spaces, channels and digital assets — all synced live with the app. The app plays it; the Studio composes it. One free account works in both.
