تكمن خطورة الفتن في أنها عندما تقبل على الناس تشتبه عليهم، ويلتبس عليهم الحق بالباطل ودعاة السوء والضلال بدعاة الخير والفضل، فيقعون في شراكها وينحرفون عن دينهم ويكونون أدوات سهلة في أيدي أعداء الإسلام الظاهرين والمستخفين وحطباً لنارهم، فإذا أدبرت الفتنة عرفها حتى الجهال ولكن لا ينفع حينئذ العلم والمعرفة بها.
فكان هذا الكتاب تعريفاً بحقيقة الفتن وخطرها وسبل التحذير منها، لنعلم أبناءَنا وبناتِنا، ونربيهم على ذلك، ليسلموا من أرباب الفتن وأصحاب الشبهات ولا يقعوا ضحايا لهم.
