There are times when my main accounts get SO low (we’re in the middle of a pandemic) that and extra $20 offered by FM would make all the difference in the world. It could feed us and allow us a couple of dollars of gas. In my circumstance,only reason for accessing apps such as float Me is to get that receive and that $20 last a couple of days until my scheduled payday. With the restrictions shown on the app with regard to bank balances, that check to see if you have money in your account or not, will automatically deny your request for a $20 float. The irony is that if I HAD money in my bank account, the necessity to use Float Me wouldn’t exist. As a frequent user, Float Me needs to update their rules in order to help those of us who do not currently have money in their account for a couple of days until payday. We are struggling out here and that $20 could and does keep us from struggling or literally being hungry. My opinion? A bank balance containing cash makes using Float Me rather redundant. This rule should be rethought. This app is useless if a zero balance is the determining factor Thanks for taking the time to read my opinion.

I put five stars of this can be exposed. My overall rating is no stars. I’ve tried using this app at least two or three times and every single time I pay a $4.99 fee just to be rejected to get a 20 or $30 advance. I make plenty to pay it back on time but it seems that I can never be approved because of “overdraft” worries. I reached out to customer service asking for either my $4.99 feedback the same day it was taken out and I noticed that they were not going to give me even $30 and all I got met with is we’re doing this because the system has flagged it as you could be overdrafted and that was it. Please be careful as apparently it is very hard for you to get even $4.99 back after they have declined giving you an advance. I have used other apps previously to this one and have never had these kinds of issues. While it is one of the cheaper memberships on an app I’ve seen you could be left with getting no advance after paying the membership fee and get declined for a refund same day you sign up.

I am not very happy with float me. Not only did I pay the membership fee on demand as the last step of reactivation of account, I was then directed to login to my account, and was immediately blocked by a screen with a sad face and the message,” your account is ineligible for activation “. At the same time float me emailed my receipt for the successful payment for reactivation. So they demanded payment to use app, and immediately blocked my access to the app, even though I paid for membership as directed in the app, this after reconnecting bank account debit card and verification of the card and my income . I have sent emails and dropped zen desk messages multiple times with absolutely no responses. My membership fee was for access to my account and float me services. I ensued and messaged with all necessary attachments of proof my membership fee was fraudulently obtained due to being blocked after payment of fee. PLEASE reverse the fee you fraudulently took out of my connected bank account through my debit card. Crooked app. Update, float me ended up just closing my account and reversed the membership subscription fee, I still haven’t received the refund but was told it would take a few days. When the fee is refunded I will consider this situation a wash, and big waste of time. If you run into app problems, you are warned ……..

I was genuinely excited for this app. I’m in a tight spot right now and desperately needed gas money. I got this app after reading some reviews saying it was well worth it and saved a lot of ppl in similar situations to mine. upon downloading the app and creating an account I already started having problems. They said I had already made an account and couldn’t add a card so I backed out and tried to re-logged into the account I had just made. I couldn’t get back in and it had said my password was incorrect when I had just made the password two minutes before and couldn’t have forgotten it. My second and last attempt to gain access to the app was to use a different email and a different password and just make a whole new account. instead of it working I unfortunately look closer at the box that you have to check before moving forward into the app, and it says by checking the box you agreed to a $3.99per month membership charge. If you have no money in your bank account and need help this is not the app for you it’s quite literally like Dave or Bridget. Charging money before letting people use and app that’s made to help people with no money defeats the whole purpose of the app. I’m sure this would be great if you can afford the subscription.
