"Every great photograph and painting starts with mindful composition." Wise Photos & Painting will improve your photos and paintings forever! Wise Photos & Painting overlays 15 artistic composition rules on your own photo or canvas. You simply align the elements of your scene with any of the 15 artistic compositions. Artists have used these compositions for centuries — photographers, painters, and designers alike — and now they are available to you easily and instantly on your iPhone and iPad. Each artistic composition comes with helpful tips, guides, and explainer videos. Wise Photos & Painting guides you to make your photos and paintings beautiful! NEW! Full control over the artistic composition overlay — freely control the size, ratio, and position to fit any canvas or photo, or use industry-standard ratios. NEW! Harmonic Armature artistic composition. The Dynamic Symmetry and Harmonic Armature artistic compositions are preferred by artists and painters! Easy to use and it does exactly the purpose.

You can scroll through lots of compositions rules and see which one best fits your photo. It’ll save two photos: one that you edited and then another with the grid which is helpful for referencing which grid you used. I also like the guidelines provided for each rule. It shows quickly in detail where to focus your subject and which types of subjects are best to photograph for that composition.

Not pleased with paying $5 just for the bottom of the image to be obscured by a white brick that reads “dynamic symmetry”. It’s also weird I can’t overlay multiple grids. Dynamic symmetry has lines that go through the X’s. In order to replicate that I have to save the dynamic symmetry grid, trim the “wise photos” tag on the bottom, re-upload, then apply the cubed grid. I feel that if you’re going to charge people, it should be a little smoother to use those features and we shouldn’t be subject to the bottom of the photos being covered.Edit: I don’t appreciate being gaslit. Maybe NOW the logo doesn’t impede the photo but when I wrote this review a year ago, it very much did. Changed from a 3 star to a to a 1 star for that. Don’t come to me a year later trying to make it seem like I’m lying.

👋 Hi, thank you for your feedback! Many of our users are not familiar with all 15 artistic composition names, so we display the name at the bottom of the photo. The name does not cover the photo; instead, we place the name outside the image. We'll look into your suggestion to include multiple artistic compositions on one image. Thank you again! 🤓📷📱

Improving my photo composition

I've been wanting my photos to have more impact, so I decided to learn more about composition. After taking photos, I review them with the handy guidelines in the app and adjust them until they look amazing. Best thing, the app makes 2 copies of the "after" photo, 1 with the rule information and 1 without it. I totally recommend Wise Photos!

Thank you so much!
Nice templates, lacks editing features.

Lazy circles in the sky
The composition template overlays are nice, but other than 'zoom in/out' and 'drag center', there are no editing features in this app. 'Tilt' and 'custom crop' are not available. If you want to truly align photo elements to the template, you have to leave the app, go to another editing app, make blind changes, and then return to this app to check if you hit your target. This is tedious and not what I was looking for when I thought that within the app I could "align" my photo to the templates.

👋Hi, thank you for your feedback. We truly appreciate it! We have added your suggestions to our feature list! With the Wise Photos app you can view your photos, find the perfect artistic composition, and then zoom in/out, and pan around to match the artistic composition with your photo's main subject and supporting elements. You can rotate the image 90 degrees and the crop is at 4:3, 3:2, or 16:9 ratios. Again, thank you for your suggestions and joining our lovely community of thousands of Wise Photos users since 2018!🤓📷📱

Huge Update! Full control over the artistic composition overlay — size, ratio, and position- to fit any canvas or photo. - For Painters: Full control of the artistic composition for your exact canvas — any size, any ratio, any orientation. - Harmonic Armature — the artistic composition preferred by artists and painters. - For Photographers: Resize and reposition the composition overlay precisely where your subject lives. Crop with accuracy like never before. Same compositions you love. Now they fit any canvas or photo.
