I love this app so much, it’s the only pay in 4 app that allows me a line of credit and I’ve built myself up to $450 spending power over the last 6 months and that’s great! 2 complaints I have are #1) You guys need to do better about your help lines. I’ve needed help and called the phone number you guys have posted as your support line, 3 out different times I was placed on hold to wait for an agent and I waited over an hour ALL 3 TIMES just to never even get to talk to anyone or get the help o needed. Please fix this. Complaint #2) There is no option to cancel a “processing” payment. Over 20+ times I have had to pay an extra $7 for failed payment fees because I had the payment money in a different acccount than my linked bank, by the time I realize I’ve got a payment due and I open the app to pay it, it’s already processing through my bank account with no option to cancel and pay another way so every single time I have no choice but to eat that $7 fee and a lot of times it’ll be 3-4payments in the same day and I end up getting hit with $30 in late fees even if I make the payment within minutes of the original failure. It’s honestly starting to feel like it’s been set up that way on purpose in order to charge as many late fees as possible. I make my payments the same day they are due every single time. And every single time I have to pay a failed payment fee because there is NO OPTION to cancel processing payments and pay with different method. Feels very much like a scam on that part.

I love sezzle!! It is a way to purchase items and pay on it every two weeks! That works great for working people! The pros are you can purchase items you might might be able to afford and pay it off while in your possession. The con is the app sometimes has glitches and will say you missed a payment when you didn’t. The customer service is not helpful in these situations nor is asking for a supervisor they will only email you. The con is if this happen they will adjust your spending limit. So I had never missed a payment and gained a credit of $1000 but the app glitched and said I missed a payment when the due date for that payment had not even came yet. It caused me a issue at my bank bc it tried to take the money out ahead of time then that cause a fee without me knowing. I went ahead and paid the payment before knowing about the fee and the rest is history as they say. Sezzle did nothing to accommodate me on this issue when it was there fault that they said I was supposed to pay and I wasn’t. So this is the only issue I’ve had with sezzle. Unfortunately my spending limit got cut back down to $500 and I never missed a payment. But I continue to use them when I really want something but I use other app before I use them because of that issue.

I gave three stars due to the fact that I’ve been using them for about three years with on-time payments every single time and then I had fraud on the account and as soon as the fraud issue got handled all of a sudden I went from a $1500 limit to 200 and they tried telling me that the reason why it was because my credit score had changed I’m sorry, but if you guys aren’t reporting this to the credit bureau, my credit score should not be a factor. The factor should be that I have been making on time payments for the past three years if I didn’t have a big family and needed to use this every once in a while, I probably wouldn’t use them due to the fact of what happened to me because I have made on-time payments and that was completely unfair. also there the tears that they have are ridiculous. You never go up in the amount of money that you’re able to use. It’s all just basically how many entries you gave or get for a giveaway. What the heck is that about if I’m making on-time payments reward me with something that’s decent and that’s gonna make me wanna keep using your business especially after you cut me from $1500 down to 200 over no reason or so you guys save my credit score. Would like they said if they don’t use your credit score to sign up there’s no reason why they should be checking my credit score to determine the amount of money I should be able to use. They really need to start thinking about how they can make those customers who make on-time payments, especially for three years happy because right now I’m not that happy. I only use it because I need to because I have a big family.

I’ve been a user of installment apps (AfterPay, Klarna, QuadPay/Zip, and Sezzle) for a LONG time. I always make my payments on time and have a pretty big spending limit within each app because of this. However, after having a security breach through another app, I had to deactivate my debit card, which was also on file with Sezzle. Long story short, Sezzle sent my remaining balance for a purchase to a debt collector partner called TrueAccord (who also works with Klarna). Even after paying off the balance with TrueAccord, Sezzle has decided to refuse me access to my account and also won’t let me make a new one. Their customer service is LAUGHABLE at best, if not condescending, and they are not interested in retaining their customers. They don’t provide the disclaimer that you will lose your account forever if your balances are sent to TrueAccord, but transparency doesn’t matter to them, and if you ask for anything to be escalated for further review they will essentially tell you that you may or may not hear back from someone. Horrible. Klarna does not do this, for the record - they allow you back into your purchasing account even if you had to pay something off through TrueAccord, and will also work with you if things change. AfterPay has amazing customer service, as well, and Zip I’ve had no issues with. This app is not worth your time or information. There are too many options out there now to settle for subpar service from an app already late to the installment game.
