Shape the sound of your own files with the new equalizer, and see their waveform behind the slider. Equalizer: Boost the bass or the vocals so you can hear your part. On the Controls tab, tap Edit on the Equalizer row, under Metronome Count-In. Pick a preset like Bass, Vocals or Speech, or drag the curve yourself. Tap + to save your own preset. Hold to Compare turns the equalizer off while you hold it, so you can hear the difference. Each song keeps its own equalizer settings, like its speed and pitch. It works on your own files: imports, recordings and downloaded purchases. Waveform: Your own files now show their waveform behind the playback slider. The part inside your loop is bright green. Count-in: Each count-in number now bounces in on its click, and the phone vibrates gently with it. On the downbeat, the vibration is stronger and a circle spreads out from the number. Then the song starts right on the beat, with no pause, over AirPlay and Bluetooth too. With Reduce Motion on, the numbers fade in instead. A theme for each playlist: Tap a playlist's name and pick a theme from the row above the keyboard. The playlist takes that background, and so does the player when you open a song from it. Photo themes need iOS 26. Also in this update: • The metronome settings stay hidden until you turn on Metronome Count-In • The player's buttons and menus vibrate more gently, and opening a song gives the same light vibration • The playback slider moves smoothly instead of in small steps • In-app wording is corrected in 24 languages Fixes: • Apple Music songs start right after the count-in, with no loading wheel • A loop that ends at the end of an Apple Music song now counts in on every repeat • On Apple Music songs, the slider no longer stays at 0:00 for a few seconds on the first play • With Apple Music songs, the slider keeps moving while your finger is on the points list or a control • On iOS 26, a sideways swipe on an empty part of the player no longer goes back to the song list. Move your practice points. Long-press a point, choose Move, then drag it to a new time or nudge it by a tenth of a second or a full second. Start and end points move too. Move a point: Until now a point stayed where you first tapped it. Now you can put it exactly where the phrase starts. Long-press any point in the list and choose Move. The slider thumb jumps to that point, and you drag it to the new time. For small corrections, the −1s, −0.1s, +0.1s and +1s buttons move it by an exact amount, and Reset returns it to where it was. While you move it, the point's row slides to its new place in the list, so you can see where it will land. Tap Write to keep the change, or Cancel to leave everything as it was. Hear the song while you move: Tap the speaker button while you move a point, and the song plays in short bursts that follow your finger. When you let go, you hear one second of the song from the new time, so you know you placed it right. The preview plays at your practice speed. For Apple Music songs, the preview plays after you let go. Move the loop itself: The start and end points move the same way. Drag the start point and the loop's range follows it. Drag the end point past the start point and the two swap places. On the delete screen, you can move a point as well: long-press it and choose Move Point, or select one point and tap the Move button.
