SanRemo Mobile is an easy and low-cost connectivity solution for transferring fleet management and drilling data from Sandvik surface drill rigs. Providing you with the most convenient way of data transfer, SanRemo Mobile uses mobile devices for drill rig connectivity and data transfer. This allows sharing of drill plans, reports and other data quickly via email, cloud, messaging or any other apps on your device. When combined with a subscription to My Sandvik, data is also sent automatically to the fleet data portals.
SanRemo Mobile can also operate in a “data bearer mode”, storing data within the application for transport. This allows data to be downloaded within a networked location, for example at home or at office, and then taking the data to the rig using the app. Similarly, data can be stored to the app while working at the drill rig and sent further once the user has returned within network coverage.
Data is exchanged between the rig and your device using Bluetooth™. This makes connecting to drill rig fast and easy, as paired devices are automatically connected. In addition, battery life is maximized as the connection is established using the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol and used only when needed. SanRemo Mobile uses location services only when connected to a Sandvik drill rig. Location information is used to determine the approximate location of drill rigs when creating a report to be sent into the cloud.
There are no separate data transmission fees, as network access is achieved using wireless networks or cellular data connection of the mobile device. (Operator or other data transfer rates may apply. Check your local network provider for details.) Separate fees apply for My Sandvik subscriptions.
