How much of an event's name the menu bar shows is now yours to choose. It still trims at 24 characters unless you say otherwise — Settings › Menu Bar lets you raise the limit, or switch truncation off to show titles in full, though a very long title can push other menu bar icons out of view. Hovering the menu bar item always shows the event's full name.

The panel's text size is now yours to choose — Small, Default, Large or Larger, in Settings. The agenda, day view and month picker all follow. You can pick the typeface too: system, rounded, serif or monospaced. The day view adapts as text grows instead of cutting things off. The agenda now counts down to what's next, the same way the menu bar does. Also fixed: countdowns could overstate the wait and even tick backwards; the guest list could vanish from the event editor; the month picker could cut off the last days of a six-week month.

Also in this release: • Fixed a serious one: editing a single occurrence of a repeating event — changing just this Tuesday's stand-up — could quietly rewrite the whole series. A weekly event could turn daily and lose its end date. Editing one occurrence now changes only that occurrence, and leaves the repeat pattern exactly as you set it. • Undo (⌘Z), up to 20 steps: deleting, duplicating, moving, dragging and ticking things off can all be taken back. A mis-deleted event is no longer gone for good. • Every change now tells you what it did, with an Undo button right there — duplicating an event or moving it to another calendar used to happen silently. • Undo looks before it leaps: if an event has changed on your iPhone or in Calendar since you edited it, Side Calendar says so instead of overwriting the newer version. One honest limitation: deleting a single occurrence of a repeating event can't be undone — Apple's calendar system provides no way to put it back — so we tell you, rather than pretending it worked.

Reminders, properly. Tick a reminder off from anywhere in Side Calendar and it syncs straight back to Apple Reminders. Drag one onto the timeline to give it a time — it stays a reminder, it doesn't become an event. Reminders without a time no longer pile up at midnight. They gather in a new To Do strip at the top of the day, where you can actually see them. And separate Date and Time switches mean a reminder stops pretending to have a time it never had. Repeat rules that hold. Events and reminders can both repeat on any schedule Calendar can make — every 3 weeks, Mondays and Thursdays, the third Thursday of the month — ending on a date or after a set number of times. More importantly: a repeat rule you set in Calendar could quietly be lost. An event repeating on Mon/Wed/Fri showed up as a plain weekly event, and editing anything about it — even just the title — threw those days away. Your rules are now read, shown, and saved exactly as you wrote them. A rebuilt editor. The event and reminder editors are cleaner and more compact, and they no longer clutter the panel with options you haven't set. Choose which calendar and list new items go to in Settings — and Side Calendar now respects the defaults you've already set in Calendar and Reminders. Also in this release • The month picker shows how busy each day is at a glance, with up to three dots per day • Press Return to open the selected event; arrow keys now reach all-day events and the To Do strip • Fixed: Side Calendar could start up and then refuse to open, with the keyboard shortcut doing nothing • Fixed: editing a reminder showed the wrong list — and saving could move the reminder into it • Fixed: short events had their time cut off, and the agenda could show an empty panel with no explanation • Changes that fail now tell you, instead of silently doing nothing

All-day events without a set end time now appear reliably in the day view instead of being dropped. Dragging an event to reschedule it — or dragging its edge to resize — now follows the cursor accurately. Editing an event's end time by hand now keeps your change, and an end time can no longer be set before the start. The Join button recognises Zoom, Teams, Meet, and Webex links more reliably. Plus a broad round of stability and reliability fixes under the hood.

Right-clicking an empty time slot to create a new event or reminder is fixed — it stopped working in 2.2.2. The text cursor is now visible when clicking into the Notes field. Changing an event's start time now shifts the end time to keep the original duration. The Today button shows a subtle highlight when the displayed day is not today.

A small round of fixes based on your feedback: Events with large attendee lists are now scrollable. You'll also see a quick summary — how many people are invited and how many have accepted. Arrow keys in the event editor now adjust dates and times correctly, without accidentally changing which event is selected behind the popover. In the delete confirmation, Return now confirms and Esc cancels. (They were the wrong way round — sorry about that.)

A refreshed event editor, a smarter agenda view, and a bunch of quality-of-life improvements. Event editor The editor has been reorganised into clearly grouped sections with a cleaner, more focused layout. You can now add a link to any event or reminder and open it with a single tap. Events with Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or Webex links get a Join button right in the editor — and anywhere else they appear in the app. Notes with links are now clickable too (Cmd-click to open while editing). You can also toggle whether an event appears in the menu bar without leaving the editor. Agenda view The agenda view has been brought in line with the day view. Events now display as coloured cards with a calendar-colour stripe and show their full time range (e.g. 16:00–16:30). Click any event to select it, then use ↑/↓ to move between events, Space to open, or Delete to remove. Right-clicking an event gives you the full set of quick actions: Edit, Duplicate, change Duration, Hide from menu bar, and Delete. Polish The delete confirmation now shows the event name so you always know what's being removed. The Return key defaults to Cancel in delete dialogs — no more accidental deletions.

Panel Side — Choose to open Side Calendar from the left edge, right edge, or both sides of your screen. Day View Zoom — Choose how many hours are visible at once in the day view (6 to 24 hours).
