DOF Pro combines near and far focus limits, hyperfocal distance, custom sensors and saved configurations in one app. SEE WHAT STAYS SHARP A live scene shows your settings at work. Flowers, a dog, a house and distant mountains sit at real distances, and each blurs according to your focus distance, aperture and lens. Open up the aperture and watch the background melt; zoom in and the scene tightens. You can turn the scene's animation off in Settings. MADE FOR IPHONE DUO Stand it up and the results face you while the sliders lie flat under your thumbs. Open it like a book and results and controls each get their own half, clear of the fold. Close it and everything moves to the outer screen, with your controls in the side bar. Layouts move smoothly as you fold. ADJUST YOUR SHOT Change subject distance, aperture and focal length with three horizontal sliders. See total depth of field and how much falls in front of and behind your subject. USE YOUR OWN SENSOR Choose an included camera profile or create a named camera from its active sensor width and height in millimetres. Useful for custom camera setups, drone sensors and known recording crops. CONTROL THE SHARPNESS CRITERION DOF Pro calculates a default circle of confusion for custom sensors. Set an optional CoC override for a built-in or custom camera, and restore its default when needed. SAVE AND REUSE SETUPS Save camera configurations and load them again later. Saved configurations and custom sensor settings stay on your device. Presets use the camera's current CoC setting. WORK IN YOUR PREFERRED UNITS Use metres or feet and inches. So promising, but so annoying

This app looks so promising: I really like the minimalist, elegant, UI. All the other DoF apps that I’ve seen apparently have UI’s designed a decade ago. Just horrible. This is a comparably elegant UI.All that having been said, while the iPhone app seems to work OK, the iPad rendition is seriously flawed:Bottom line, it’s super annoying that this pro version doesn’t support landscape mode on iPad. So, I’m sitting here with my iPad in landscape mode because it’s attached to my keyboard cover. But this app only works in portrait mode, so the screen is rotated 90 degrees. Lol.It’s super annoying that this app expects me to have to disconnect the keyboard cover in order to use it. What’s worse is that the non-pro version of this supports landscape mode, but not this “pro” version. But the non-pro version of this app has a bug where you can’t see the f-stop, distance, and focal length values if your device is in dark mode, rendering it practically useless, if you use dark mode.And if we could fix these issues, it would be really nice if it could show fractions (or decimal points) of inches. When working with shallow depths of field of nearby subjects, showing just to the nearest inch isn’t really enough. I’m trying to figure out the DoF differences in 85mm 1.4 vs 1.8, and to the nearest inch just doesn’t cut it.So, thanks for a nice looking app, but these are fairly fundamental flaws/limitations. It would be great if you could take a look at it.

Layouts glide as you fold, and a little aperture iris opens with the hinge. • A live scene shows what stays sharp. Change focus, aperture or lens and the landscape blurs to match, with a French bulldog as your subject. Turn its animation off in Settings if you prefer. • A redesigned calculator: a big depth of field readout, focus limits at a glance, and numbers that roll as you drag. • Save and load presets, camera and settings from the navigation bar, plus a new camera search. • Resizable windows on iPad and fixes throughout.
