I have 2 young kids and have been thinking about the college savings account since they were born but didn’t know where to start. I have been referred to U-nest by a friend of mine and I couldn’t be happier. Everything is done through the app and I mean EVERYTHING from start to finish. I love how easy it is to use and navigate the app. All the info you need is right there. You can start slow with as low as $25/monthly and you can add lump sums whenever your budget allows. Each kid has a separate profile on the app and you can easily see how much money they have at the moment in there. There are also tools right there in app that project how much your kid will have by the time they go to college if you continue at the “current” pace. By clicking around I was able to find where exactly the money is invested. I also get paper monthly statements in the mail. All in all great app!

U-nest is our first and excellent experience of investing money through an app. Great source to save money for my kids education. The growth and the ability to withdraw the money all tax-free for qualified education expenses mean that every dollar I contribute can multiply faster and cover a greater portion of my kids education expenses. Very easy and quick! Love being able to see the amount my child will have by the time she’s in college. Finding room in our budget for college savings can be difficult, so with U-nest savings plan that is not requiring a significant minimum investment, we can save 25 dollars per month until we are able to save more. We will definitely be using this app from now on since it’s so convenient for us and all family members!

Im having issue with the app and tried to contact them, they do not answer your call it goes automatically to robot and they response to your email don't know when... frustrating. Seems like you are pouring your money into sand like the water! Also very poor security on app, I got robbed I think, Ive been investing from past July but my account shows only a month amount which is of this month only.. where is all my money go? Also don't show statements, tax documents and other options in the app. Be careful

I signed up for this app a while ago. I’ve had to contact customer service for multiple deposits. Even though they claim to be automatic, they aren’t processed until I contact customer service. This makes me scared about the withdrawal process. I’m currently seeking other options. The gifting option seemed awesome but when j reached out about it before COVID, I was told “hopefully within the next two weeks” they’d launch the gifting feature. Seems like overall, this company is slow at getting things done. That’s not how I want my money invested in my child’s future. I want it done at a certain time. While this app simplifies things, I think more customization and say over my own child’s account would benefit my child’s future better.
