First card you should get

I have used Step for about 3 and a half years now, and all I can say is that it has been my go-to card for everything. The app is super easy to use and user-friendly. I love how you are able to invest when you were not 18 yet. Along with that, you can build your credit at such a young age, so once you turn 18, you are already ahead of everyone. Customer support is super friendly and fast. I had to contact them when I got locked out of my account one night, and they got me back in the next day. I had tried multiple credit card companies, but I have not ever been able to build credit because I had no credit, so no one would give me a card. Step fixed that and got me on the road to success. I am forever grateful for what they have done. The card is free to use, but they do have a paid card if you want extra features. My only recommendation is bringing back the annual fee for the Black card as that is something I enjoyed instead of paying monthly. I am now 19 and already have a credit score of over 700 I will continue to use this card. I will always recommend this card to anyone who is either just starting out or needs to build credit.

There’s a few things that could make it better

So I’ve been using step for about a little over a year now and I like it, it’s a pretty cool app/bank. If you’re starting out on credit like I am it’s really good for that. I’m able to borrow up to just under $100 if I need to however, for the longest time (and I mean a good 6 months) I wasn’t able to because my card was declined when I accidentally used that one instead of my other card for tap pay on my phone. So that’s one thing I had a problem about. I’m tryna build credit here and it just got taken away😭😂. Another thing is finding an atm to withdraw money. I think this might just be a me problem but I can’t find an atm to save my life. I think it’s just my area however. And the last minor problem I have is Apple Pay. I send and receive money a lot through Apple Pay and it would be nice to be able to do that without having to keep my other bank account open just for that. I literally have another bank account open just to send and receive money and be able to deposit and take out cash. But other than that I love the fact it tells you what’s impacting your credit and what you need to do to get it up. Overall I give it 4 stars just because the good outweighs the bad. The problems I have aren’t keeping me from doing anything, just making everything have an extra step so I can’t hate it for that.

As a teenager, I’ve been using Step to engage in my personal financial endeavors, and debts. Step offers their card that functions identically to a debit card. What this means is the following:The key difference is instead of being a debit card, it’s a SECURED CREDIT CARD. What that means, simply, is a debit card masked as a credit card. The cool thing about that is you get to develop a credit score in the background, even as a teenager. As soon as you turn 18 and report this pseudo-credit score to the bureaus, you will end up starting off with a heightened credit score, which is crucial for one thing only: loan approvals. A high credit score simply means that you paid your debts off on time. Another excellent thing about step is their rewards program. Just like other credit cards, they offer cash back (or gift cards back). 1% for all purchases, and higher percentages for select stores. This allows for a small return for what you’ve spent. Further more, they offer a stock system. Absolutely amazing, if you know how to approach stocks. All in all, if you want to save time in the long run, financially, and as a teen, I’d advise getting step. As an adult, if your credit score is extremely low, get step to pick it back up. Once you’re financially stable, I’d advise a credit card that offers higher cashabck rewards and limits. Mind you, Step is more oriented to low-mid income individuals. Too high? Limits will limit you.

I need help logging in

Hello step! Recently I started to use this app and I love it, but my main concern is the log in options. I just want to know why there is only one option for logging in. Recently I had to reset my Apple ID which caused me to have to log into everything, and yes even though it’s quite irresponsible of me, I used the opposite of my main gmail to log in just in case it wasn’t legit. When my phone got reset, my gmail accounts did also. The account I signed in with, I can’t remember the password or name of the account. I’m currently experiencing money problems and if I can’t log into my account, I’d just have to go to another app. Im honestly really worried because I currently have money on there. I don’t know if you can but I was wondering if you guys could change my email?.. I tried to do it from the outside but even then it wasn’t working. I’m seriously concerned and really worried because now and days no one really carries cash which means I have to adapt. Btw, my phone number to the account is my actual phone number but the gmail isn’t. I thought that I could find some sort of way to get a verification sent to my phone number but I just couldn’t.

Hello step! Recently I started to use this app and I love it, but my main concern is the log in options. I just want to know why there is only one option for logging in.
