Quest - Te Whitianga
Positive mental health
Free · Designed for iPad
Feeling down, worried or stressed out? Finding it difficult to sort problems or get on with people? Wanting to live your best life? Quest - Te Whitianga could help.
Quest is a smartphone game that aims to help young people cope better with strong emotions and teaches life skills at the same time. It is based on a type of ‘talking therapy’ called CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
In Quest you journey across an archipelago that has been devastated by a volcanic eruption. As you visit each island you’ll learn new skills and restore balance to the ocean as well as your thoughts and feelings.
At the moment Quest is being tested with groups of young people - we need to make sure that it works and is safe to use. Check back here in later in 2019 when we hope to have the results.
In the meantime you can find out more about this and our other projects on the HABITs website - https://habits.auckland.ac.nz
