UPDATE: Just finished Level 4,700, no more to be had for a while. I’ve amassed over 60,000 points, over 50 shuffles, plus more hints. You really don’t have to use hints as each game truly can be completed without hints. Sometimes I just flip my finger back and forth over the board to see what I might accidentally hit. Keep in mind that you get way more points if you get every word possible, not just the ones they want you to find. That’s by far the best way to win a tournament. Love this game, can’t wait for more games to be released. UPDATE: Well, I finished all 3,400 levels in 6 weeks and all the daily games I could, with 29,700 coins left. I never bought any coins or boosts. One way to get more coins is to find every single word you can, even if they’re not the words you’re looking for the beat the level. That’s especially the way to win the tournaments. Probably at least 50 of the games were repeats, but no big deal. I’m hoping the new update I just loaded will have more new levels. Nope, it didn’t. ALSO: there is no level that requires shuffling or hints of any kind. They are all solvable without hints. A little hard, maybe, but certainly doable. I never used hints at all, except when the stupid button got pushed accidentally. And if the ads annoy you, just pay the $3.00 to get rid of them. Not sure where some of these words are from (yes, I know it’s a lot of British vocabulary), but it’s very frustrating to search and SEARCH, only to find they’ve misspelled the word (vaccum instead of vacuum, racoon instead of raccoon, etc) and some words that just do not exist per their own dictionary. My biggest frustration is that the help options at the bottom are too darned close to the bottom row of letters. I keep accidentally having to cough up 280 hard-earned coins for hints I don’t want or need. Please fix this.
Oppressive ads

I enjoy playing this game. But I am a free to play person. I understand fully that the game makers need ad revenue. I do not begrudge that at all. Up until recently, the ad load was not bad. However, the game has changed in recent weeks such that F2P now has to watch an ad after every level played. And the adds require interaction to clear off (i.e. I can’t just set my phone down and do another task while the ad plays silently). The game itself is good - that’s why I still have it rated at 3*. Without the oppressive ads, I’d definitely give 4*, maybe even 5. I know I could pay a bit to get ad free, but I don’t trust that it would truly be ad free given how aggressive the new ad strategy is. If you want a fun word game and are willing to pay for no ads, I recommend this game. If you don’t want to pay for the no ads version, then be prepared to spend nearly half your time on the game watching some stupid irrelevant ad content. Since I don’t want to pay, I’m deleting the app and will find a different F2P app that doesn’t have the oppressive ad load.
Would be better if….

We didn’t have hackers who are like 11,000 points into a tournament when everyone else barely just started and then these people who seem to have all the advantage keep going so no one else can ever have a chance of even catch up and have a fair chance of winning. Tournaments should not last three months straight because they go on every single day all day and all night and when you have too many people trying to compete to be at the top they basically lose time to sleep. There should be at least a day or so in between to rest or catch up on sleep. Should also start not at Americans general bedtimes because it’s day time in Asia where the app developers are possibly from, which is kind of not fair. And finally the color choices for the letter tiles of many of the new backgrounds you get once you play 100 rounds of puzzles, they’re just so harsh on the eye so you waste time during a tournament that goes on for too long looking for a better background with nice color tiles that make spotting words easier and faster. So as a suggestion, at the very least, we should be able to change the colors of the tiles of letters in our puzzles and keep them not be forced to waste time and constantly change them because many. Many. many backgrounds are given the ugliest harshest color tiles that it’s hard to see the letters and more importantly the words we are looking for. I would definitely enjoy this game more when I earn a new background that I am not forced to change to that right then and there and I should be able to stick to the color tiles I like the most and am comfortable playing with especially during tournaments without being forced to change to another background image with ugly color letter tiles.
Pay to play

I started enjoying this game after playing it a bit, and wrongly decided it might be worth paying the small $3.99 fee to remove ads for a more enjoyable relaxing experience because the ads were seriously starting to annoy me. Then I realize higher levels require shuffles when you can’t find the words you need to pass a level, and guess what? Shuffles quickly eat game earned coins depending on how many shuffles you need. When you run too low on coin, you either have to pay real money to get more coin for shuffles to help you pass certain levels, basically turning this into a pay to play game, or you’re forced to sit through ads to earn the coin needed, negating the fee paid to remove them and not have to deal with them. Very frustrating. I feel kinda duped now, and since I already paid the ad removal fee, I have decided against deleting it, but will play it a lot less than I would have liked if I’m forced to watch ads for shuffles to pass levels, because I am not going to continually drop real cash for shuffles to help me advance. Very disappointed in this experience, and will be a lot more cautious about this kind of thing with games from now on.
