Cursor Pro makes finding your mouse pointer and inspecting pixels on your screen easier than ever. It draws a shape around your cursor, so you and your viewers can recognize it more easily. Moreover, it is equipped with a precise magnifier that you can activate with a single key press.

“A-plus app for studends” — App Store Editorial Team

Make your screen presentations more meaningful. Tailored specifically with pros in mind, Cursor Pro enables you to dedicate your focus to the content of your presentation.

Features
• Looks great, intuitively.
• Select shape, size, and colors
• Choose border weight, style, and glow
• Animations. Visually appealing, but also carries semantic meaning — making it clear at first glance which interaction is currently taking place.
• Magnifier. Set up a magnifying key, choose a zoom factor, define magnifier quality and its size.
• Never gets out of sight on your Apple Studio Display. Cursor Pro can beg for attention, if you want it to.
• Never gets in the way. Optionally, the cursor highlight automatically hides if no movement is detected.
• Lightweight menu bar app
• Autostart. Launch the app automatically on login.
• Customizable keyboard shortcut
• Apple Shortcuts.app support
• Quick-toggle: Option-click on the app icon to enable/disable
• Deliver screen presentations that leave a lasting impression

Use cases
• If you want to make a professional impression. Use your Mac to demonstrate or teach apps, workflows, or anything else. People will see your pointer and the clicks you perform more easily.
• Work remotely and need to share your screen with a colleague without them asking what you’re doing all the time. Your pointer, and the actions your perform with it, will be clearly visible.
• Working with a large screen or even multiple displays. Losing your pointer is something that happens to many of us far too often. Cursor Pro will make sure you always know where your pointer is.
• When capturing or sharing your screen as part of a presentation.
• When creating video tutorials, during lectures, or participating in video calls/meetings.

Privacy
• The magnifier feature requires screen recording permissions to work (because that’s how it works: recording a certain area of your screen and zooming in).
• All of your mouse and screen data remain offline, on your computer, where they belong.

Compatibility
Works great with screen sharing apps like FaceTime, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Skype, etc. (You have to share your entire screen, not just a single application window!)

This just got great!

The latest update has made this app incredibly more useful. The old version didn't do too good a job when magnifying, but now it's definitely got some WOW factor going for it, with all the way up to 20x magnification and MUCH better quality magnification! You can now pixel-peep areas of photos or desktop with amazing clarity, choose the size, color and style of your cursor highlighter as well as the right-click and left-click colors (and corresponding changes in highlighter shape during these actions), change the highlighter area size and magnification highlighter size much more than before... it's just a MUCH better app overall now!

I honestly can't think of anything that would make this app better off the top of my head. Way to go, Cursor Pro!!!

Good but needs improvement

This is a good idea and works well in general. There are, however, aspects that need to be changed so that it is more useful. First, there is no much choice regarding the colors for the “halo” surrounding the pointer. You can only choose between the system defined desktop palette (that is only gray or blue in my Mac) or turquoise, which is not contrasting even. Also, there is no option to choose the size of the “halo” or its shape (magnification with a square halo would be great for text, for instance). Also, there is only one option to control the behavior of the halo. You can make it disappear when the pointer is not moving or leave it on all the time. There are uses for which I’d prefer to only appear with clicks. Others might prefer it to appear only with ctrl clicks, etc. It needs more flexibility regarding the options. Again, this is a nice initial idea but it’d be really useful with more options regarding its shape, color, and behavior.

Better, for me, than 6 other tools

I capture screen shots a lot, and by using the native Mac Shift-Cmd-4 shortcut for doing so. Many cursor highlighters are NOT COMPATIBLE with this! They interfere with the current window being highlighted for screen capture. (Noticed in High Sierra and now, too, in Mojave.)

Cursor Pro is COMPATIBLE. It doesn't mess up my ability to capture the current window.

Other Cursor locators that leave "trails" interfere with my ability to read "hover text" (for example on web page links) -- the trail blocks viewing the hover text! Cursor Pro does not do this, and anyway disappears completely after cursor is still.

I love, for training and video capture, the animation upon a mouse-click. (Doesn't work on a touch-pad with merely a touch, but does with pressing to click.)

I use multiple monitors -- and unfortunately this renders the magnification feature completely and utterly useless. But that is not a feature I was looking for, nor do I miss it. If I need to I can get that from other programs, or just press the native Opt-Cmd-8 shortcut to magnify the entire screen.

THANK YOU for the features you got right! (The important ones!!)
