After trying numerous others, I discovered this gem! It has an eloquent UI which provides smooth playing. No crazy number of pop ups at start up or after a game. Thank you!! I’ve been playing the game since I was 7. That was 70 years ago. I played and gambled in bookie joints with serious players. Most of the games were hard fought, tense games. It was extremely rare for anyone to gin after 2 or 3 cards. This game reminds me of those times. It comes across as a fair dealer. The best I’ve seen so far. I have no need to look for another gin game. Thank you developers.There is one option I would enjoy seeing added. That’s Hollywood style where the knock card can’t be higher than the turned up card that is first dealt. It presents a totally different challenge.

My only issue with this game is the music. Since the last update and the new beach scene it plays this goofy music and the only way to turn it off is to turn off all game sounds. I like having the game sounds so if playing someone really slow… you can do hear when it’s your turn. Even if you mute the ad (which is a great feature) the music then kicks in… like it’s constantly playing in the background. Anything constantly playing in the background is draining the battery unnecessarily. Every app I’ve had in the past that had music gave two options for sound. One for no sound and one to turn off the music. It’s really annoying when trying to play with a friend and FaceTime simultaneously (so you can trash talk with a buddy!). The only other option that would be great is an auto sort when an opponent knocks/gins. If you rearrange your cards while it’s the other players turn to see what your hand looks like… and they knock… you can get caught giving extra points to your opponent. Before the music or with the option to mute music only… it would be 5 star.

Here’s another weird one. I picked a queen the other player discarded. I put the queen with my other two queens and had three queens. I discarded a three of hearts. The other player drew and discarded a king. I picked it up and put it with my other two kings. Now I have three kings but for some reason I only have two queens. What happened to my other queen. Whoops, how did I get the three of hearts back. It’s like the turn before wjen I picked up the queen and threw the three. I’ve seeb cards change before but I gave the game the benefit of the doubt. But this time I wasn’t mistaken. Whe I picked up the king I noticed the three wasn’t there under that king like it was supposed to be. And the queen I picked up before that wasn’t there either yet the three appeared in my hand and the queen was gone. When a card changes one time I let it go. Thenn it happened again. I picked up a jack and put it between my two jacks. So I had three jacks. The j’s are circled. Like the queens were before I had picked the king. The other player took his turn and I drew a card and I noticed the j’s weren’t circled and there was a two in between the two jacks. That’s when I knew it wasn’t me. It is some sort of fix in the game. I’m not the only one to report this problem. I’ve heard there was some cheat codes to undo plays and even one that can show the other player your hand. The way they say it works is when they look at your hand the game is on pause. Thats why some players can take a longer time than you. They can force the game to rush your turn too. Seems unlikely but not impossible. I hope the new owners of the app takes this all seriously. I want to play but I want it to be fair. Don’t think you’re crazy, you’re not. Report the inconsistency. I’ve been playing gin for fifty-five years. I know the game.

Fake BOTSannoying musicthis game should never replace playing with real cards and socializing with real people. I am really disappointed.I MADE SCREEN RECORDINGS! How do they end up with cards they discarded. I have PROOF The game is fun, however, there are BOTS. ( one of the top winning players is a BOT named MERRY) The BOTS can usually be found playing NEWBIES TABLE. (They never leave the table). They make their moves FAST, but there is no “lightening bolt” next to their avatar, indicting they move fast. They do, for the most part. They show up on 750 bets, game KNOCKS AND GIN. Clever names like GIN GURU, CARD CRAFTER, but also Chloe, DONNO… just really stupid names. regardless, ALL have USA flags. ALL use avatars which are free in game. NONE are real pics. Legal liability. When you say READY, they never respond. Your biggest clue is when cards are dealt, it’s not synched. For example, if they are to go first (PASS or not) if they take the card, you will never see the card they take because your cards are still being dealt. THIS IS THE MOST ANNOYING THING. however, they can be beaten as they always discard the highest card they have which does not match, and work their way down. They do not try for inside straights. They can also change strategy. Honestly, if I wanted to play a BOT, there are plenty of free games. I’m just annoyed that I cannot see which card they take, if they have the option on first PASS. I lost many games because I could not see what they took. Play, have fun, but be aware and watch out for the BOTS You are being cheated.
