This is a wonderful app! I think it is set apart from most writing apps by the community it’s created. The smaller size of the community means that most writings are read and given feedback. A lot of writing platforms are oversaturated with content, discouraging new writers if they’re not noticed — this is not one of them. There’s also a discord! I don’t really use it, but it’s a cool way to talk to other writers, get advice, talk with the Daily Prompt team, etc. I also really like the writing competitions; they charge per entry or charge a cheaper yearly fee. I was initially skeptical about this, but the competitions are small with a small entry free. They’re a far cry from the typical 2000+ pool of writings with a twenty dollar entry fee. They’re a great way to build confidence and enter the world of making money off writing that doesn’t leave you feeling absolutely demoralized. If that’s not your thing, then there’s still a lot with this app. Its actively improved (they’re making a website, too!), have friendly developers who listen to the community, and is nicely designed. The prompts themselves are creative and are a good mix of challenging and intriguing. There’s also a good amount of poetry prompts thrown in and all the prompts can generally be used however you want to fit your needs. I also like the stats that are displayed in your profile. My only recommendation would be have some form of autosave if the app is suddenly closed (I’ve done this a lot lol). Overall, good app, good community, would recommend!

A follow up question for me on that is how is that happening? Is the app crashing on you when you do an action, or do you force-quit the app accidentally? This app has a LOT of convenient features. It’s very simple to use and understand. The prompts are a lot of fun and you can customize the genre and type of prompts you see. After a week of using the app I found that I was exploring other forms of writing because the prompts would be so interesting. You connect with other writers, which I find to be particularly helpful. You can download your writings very easily. I transfer all of my writings into my files so I have backup. Overall, after using the app consistently, I highly recommend it. It’s not just great for writers, its a great place for readers. There are plenty of short stories from every genre and you can leave feedback and encouragement for the writers. When I’m tired of writing I will spend a while reading work from other writers and leave words of encouragement. The writing competitions push me to try writing in new genres. I find myself on this app for hours some days, writing and browsing. The customer service is great too. I did have issues where it kept asking me to subscribe even-though I was already subscribed. I emailed the developer and they responded quickly and fixed the bug. Now the app runs flawlessly. There are no ads or anything annoying. Once you subscribe you enjoy every feature of the app without any added nuisance or pressure to purchase anything else.

There’s so much to say about Writing Prompts - Daily. I use it almost everyday, multiple times in a day, just writing to my hearts content. This is an amazing app. I really only have positive things to say about it. For those who love writing, this is perfect for you! The community is so encouraging and sweet. It’s BEYOND rare to ever come across someone who’s unkind. I have over 100 writings and I’ve had this app for maybe a year now?? The prompts are amazing, as well. If you are interested in hearing about any subscriptions, they do have some. If you don’t have premium, you can only use prompts they give to you daily, you will not have Free Write, ad there will be a 2,000 word limit for the writings you submit, as well as a limit on how many competitions you can enter into for a cash prize of 100 dollars. Of course, there is a way to get premium without having to pay every month or so. You can pay 47 dollars for a lifetime of premium membership. A LIFETIME. They don’t lie. Is there anything else to say?? —I know there is, but I’m trying to make this as short as possible haha (I love writing, so I have a tendency to make things longer than the original intent). Have a good day/night! Please give Writing Prompts a chance because it will not disappoint! Trust me, the experience is even better than the pictures ad comments portray!

The app is beautifully structured and so easy to navigate, which makes it perfect for diving right into the creative process. The layout is intuitive, and I can find everything I need without any hassle.Even though I am not writing as much as I would like, the writing competitions are a huge highlight for me since they provide the challenge that keeps me motivated to write more and to stay focused on the task (story or poem) at hand.
