Fixed a ZIP file
Lakshmee108
Google Drive wouldn’t open or download a large (76 GB) Zip file of my important documents. The Google Drive app on my MacBook Pro did mirror it after many hours. I then transferred the ZIP to my hard drive but it gave me an error message when I tried to unzip it. BestZip had no trouble unzipping it for me. BRAVO!
Somewhat flakey, not completely reliable, odd choices/missing features

I decided to try this app because a friend sent me a password-protected 7zip file. The file is admettedly large (over 8 GB), and he likes to use really long, randomly-generated passwords. The program kept freezing halfway through unarchiving. For some reason, if I dragged a specific folder onto the desktop, it would copy the root folders with it, when I would honestly rather skip them. Also, it would create a second root folder with the same name (e.g. “Anchive2”) instead of asking if I wanted to merge with the existing files, and how I’d like to do so (e.g. “Skip, Replace, or Rename”). It woud also keep asking me to re-enter the password, which I’d really rather not have to do.Probably the most annoying, however, is that, even though it has an option to “Extract Selected Items”, there’s no way that I can find to select multiple items in the first place (Shift, Control, Option, and Command all do nothing). This is especially frustrating since I wanted to select only some of the items in a folder that had a lot of items, insted of copyng the whole folder (and all of its subfolders) after the program crashed halfway through the first extraction. Also… it’s slow. XD;I’ll admit, the ability to preview files is nice, but overall it’s just not well-designed enough for me to prefer it over a command-line option, even when said command-line option extracts all files to my user folder without any organization (files were put in the user folder instead of any appropriate folders). I certainly don’t think it’s worth spending money on after the 10-day trial period is over.
Purchased Pro Version and it doesnt work

When I first used the trial version of this app it was great. I decided to upgrade to the pro version through the app, but when I went to extract a zip file it kept saying it was using the trial version. I hit the button to restore the purchase but it just prompted me to pay for the app again. I upgraded through the app itself - im not sure if it would have been better through the app store, but even then it shouldve worked regardless. And my debit card was charged immediately. I contacted the app developers but they wrote back in Chinese, which I obviously can't read. So then I just requested a refund through the apple website. So if you want the full version, just buy it through the app store (its also only 6.99 on the app store, but I have to pay 7.99 to upgrade through the trial app. total bs)
This is the best extractor for the Mac

I had the lite version for a little bit, then I got really into making Minecraft mods and resourcepacks (yeah ik its a little strange to say). But this app has been a god send to use. Its quick, reliable, and really easy to use and understand. I rate this 5 stars.
