Tell us what you want to work on and get a 7-day plan of ideas from the best books, a few minutes a day. Read them, or hear them in the narrator you choose. Great books, in minutes. SummaryZ turns the books everyone talks about into short key ideas you can read or listen to. Each book is broken into about five ideas of roughly a minute each, so you can finish one before your coffee gets cold. START WITH WHAT YOU'RE FACING Tell us what you want to work on, such as procrastination, money, focus or relationships, and get a 7-day plan of ideas from books picked for it, a few minutes a day. READ OR LISTEN • Read each idea, or hear it narrated. Every sentence lights up as it is read. • Choose your narrator from nine voices, and hear a sample first. • Playback speed and a sleep timer. • Premium: keep listening with the screen locked. FIND ANYTHING • Search by title, author, topic, or how you feel, and get the ideas that fit your moment. • Not in the library yet? Ask for a book and watch it being summarized. KEEP WHAT STICKS • Save and like ideas, and find them again in your Library. • A daily goal and streaks to keep you going. • Widgets for an idea to revisit, today's goal, and what you were listening to. SUMMARYZ PREMIUM Choose a weekly or yearly plan to unlock everything, including listening with the screen locked. The price in your currency and any free trial you are offered are shown before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings. Terms of Use: https://basmo.app/terms-and-conditions/ Privacy Policy: https://basmo.app/privacy-policy Summaries are written with the help of AI from each book's key ideas. Great app but lacking export functionality

I love the features of the app - I’m surprised an app like this exists, with all the features I was looking for. But, it doesn’t let me export data (or maybe it does and I don’t know?) out of it so I can store it on a note taking web app to view on my computer. There is only one email address to give feedback and that seems to be a wrong one. Idk how else to give feedback.

Developer Response
Thank you for your review! We are sorry about the feedback email address but thank you for pointing it out. We will fix it right away, but in the meantime, you can send us a note at hello@getunderline.com. As for the export data request, it may be something we'll consider in the future. Aside from this, if you think Underline is a great app perhaps can you reconsider your review? Thank you again!

GOD BLESS THE CREATORS OF THIS APP AND BASMOS. If you want context read the below script but if not just know that these developers have saved all my data after a near heart break. Go download Basmos: reading tracker or whatever. Made my entire day! rant:The previous version of this app, I believe called Basmos was amazing. I took notes on the books I was reading, took pictures of important quotes. It saved my reading log and I could go back to any book and look at previous digital annotations. Until tragedy struck and they somehow updated this god forsaken all into a useless waste of data. It deleted all of my books and notes that I worked tirelessly on. And don’t get me wrong I know there is another app through this company now named basmo but it is far to late for redemption. I went through the 5 stages of grief when all my notes were deleted and it genuinely put me into a reading slump. So please summary Z if you can find it in your heart to restore my data I would consider taking down this scathing review and kissing whoever is in charge. -A girl who really like her online annotations.

Update Nov 11, 2021: lol so much for “our current plan is to continue to offer everything free” imagine my surprise when I updated this app, went to check the “improvements” and suddenly had to pay $15/month to scan pages. I mean awesome that I have bold and italic in my notes now I guess, when they also took away the ability to keyword search within highlights.April 18, 2021: (two stars) When I first downloaded this app a year ago it was everything I could ever want. It was accurate in its scanning and let me keep all my underlined and highlighted book passages in one place. Support was responsive when I emailed to ask if bold and italic text was on the horizon. However, in the past few months it’s gotten buggy to the point of being almost unusable. It’s so bad I’ve been scouring the internet for a suitable replacement. I’m wondering if the developers have abandoned this app for their newer, paid app, which I tried (that one has bold and italic text options) but immediately canceled and deleted because I have no interest in any of its features besides storing book passages, which is why, in theory, I have this app. Regardless, it’s still the best I’ve found at what it does and I’ve managed to find some workarounds for the most frustrating issues, so it does get a couple stars. This is absolutely an app I’d be willing to pay for — probably not a subscription but certainly a one-time fee — if it was as functional as it could be.

Thank you so much for your feedback lindsay. We absolutely have not abandoned this app. If you have any specific bugs you'd like to report, please, please let us know! We are updating the app, publishing book summaries on a constant basis, and the text extraction functionality you're referring to as you favourite is being constantly updated and perfected. The bold and italic features you requested should be part of the app, please make sure you're updated. About the one-time fee, our current plan is to continue to offer everything free. Again, thank you for your feedback and it would be tremendously helpful if you could upgrade to a slightly higher rating, since our rating is something extremely important in our company's evolution. A 5 star would be amazing. We are here to help. Waiting on any feedback! Thank you again!

Great app to have if you want to store book electrically

Dear developer, I am a very lazy person. So I want things work efficiently. I find out this app work efficiently among the bunch of scan apps on AppStore.Great way to copy books. On iPad Pro, the screen size is not actually fit. Once the photo is taken from the book, there is a way to export texts through other apps. What I want hope is that I could export those texts into GoodNotes. It will save much time. I hope so. I hope you guys can corporate with GoodNotes or something like that to make this feature that I suggested.
