Enphase Installer Toolkit 4+

I use this app on a weekly basis on an iPhone and for the most part it does great, with the recent update I am not able to create a support case anymore though. When I click to create a case, I can’t select the subject line and can only write a message, this keeps me from submitting a case without being able to write something in the subject field. Hopefully this can be fixed!

Savy but slow and inconvenient

The tool kit is quite savy, BUT during service and site visit required firmware updates as well as equipment RMA’s the tool kit tends to operate much less efficiently than touted.

As a small company, spending half a day or longer on a site to service firmware failures or updates, just isn’t sustainable. Too many slow and interrupting ITK issues. It seems that initial commissioning can be smoother but if the signal isn’t as strong as near perfect the ITK, server, Envoy seem to struggle with lagging inter-device updates. [ Ex. One location says the envoy needs to connect to wifi and cellular at the time it is actually connected to both ( was online with Tech support to verify) in the meanwhile the technician is stuck because of this lag in update across devices .]. That’s just one example !

Reasons: ITK doesn’t short cut to the service issue at hand and requires running through some of the same processes as full site commissioning. This lends to lagging issues that just don’t need to be encountered, especially during RMA processes. It shouldn’t auto update either.

A little difficult to use.

I found a really difficult and hard to use and frustrating, even setting up at account and password didn’t go smoothly. Do you set it up as the owner? Do you set it up as an installer? It’s not really clear what happens if you’re the owner and installer.

It’s notUser-Friendly, there should be a betterExplanation. Do you use the end phase installer tool kit first what about and phase enlightened? When do you use that. I just didn’t find any of it clear clear. And then what about the array? What is an array is an array a string or is it the whole roof top of panels.

I just found confusion all throughout trying to use the app even once I finishedSetting it up I found problems and confusion and I still don’t seem to be getting good signals the Wi-Fi do I use cellular it’s just one confusion after the next.

I still don’t know how it really works. I don’t know if my end phase combiner talks to a satellite and then sends a signal back to me over the cloud I really don’t Know how it’s working.

We are really sorry for this inconvenience. Enphase Installer Toolkit app is used for installing and commissioning the system. It is used by the installers. If you want to monitor your system, you can download Enphase Enlighten App. The array tab shows the representation of your virtual array to match the solar panels and microinverters installed on your roof. You can connect your system to internet via Wi-Fi network or through Ethernet connection or through cell modem according to your convenience. Your Gateway monitoring device communicate with your microinverters via PLC and uploads all the data to Enphase cloud via internet.
