My PrEP
Never forget your PrEP again!
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
My PrEP is your sexual health companion: reminders every 15 min so you never miss your PrEP pill, history of your doses and encounters, logging of your STI tests directly in the app, doxyPEP tracking, support for both on-demand and daily PrEP. The app supports every aspect of your sexual life.
Privacy: all data is stored on your phone. No account, no cookies, no analytics or tracking tools. Nothing is sent over the internet. My PrEP is the only app to offer this level of security and respect for your privacy. You can also export your data (as CSV or raw SQL) at any time.
Protection: medical protocols are rigorously implemented through an algorithm, allowing My PrEP to precisely calculate your protection status (from when and until when PrEP protects you, based on your regimen), as well as the number of pills you need to take. No more guesswork: just follow the app's instructions. My PrEP also handles daylight saving time and time zone changes when travelling seamlessly.
Testing: My PrEP also lets you log the results of your quarterly STI tests. Enter the tests performed and the results, and you can even save your lab report directly in the app (as a PDF or photo).
doxyPEP: My PrEP includes doxyPEP dose tracking. Log your doses and see your protected encounters at a glance.
My PrEP+: this optional subscription lets you log your encounters. After sex, record it in the app with tags, location, notes, and your partner(s). On each encounter's page, find all the details along with its protection status, and see at a glance whether you can stop PrEP. You also get a map of your encounters and partner profiles with notes and a link to their Instagram. And the icing on the cake: at the end of the year, you'll get your My PrEP Wrapped, a recap of your year.
My PrEP+ also helps support My PrEP financially, since the app obviously has no ads. It's thanks to subscribers that the app can keep going!
If you have any feedback or suggestions, or unfortunately run into a bug, feel free to email us or, even better, contact us from the Settings tab in the app. Thanks so much!

Amazing app that is very specific where others are not. The only thing was when setting up the app it seemed a few things were only in Spanish until after I finished the set up. Maybe it was just a bug but it was not impactful to my use just kinda odd

For My PrEP's seventh anniversary, we're moving to v5, which brings three very big changes.
First, the app's design has been entirely overhauled. We kept what works, but every screen has been polished. Everything looks more modern, cleaner, and more consistent, thanks to a global rework of colors, icons and spacing. Green now signals that everything is fine, blue means you have an action to take, and red means something is off. The "earlier dose" screen for PrEP has been redesigned (you can now indicate if you only took one pill instead of two). In short, everything is more beautiful.
Second — and this is the biggest piece of work: My PrEP now supports daily PrEP, the regimen recommended for people having receptive vaginal sex! Since the regimen algorithm sits at the heart of the app, it took a lot of work to adapt it and make it capable of handling multiple regimens. It took some time, but here we are. You can choose the regimen prescribed to you from the Settings tab. For new users, the onboarding has been completely rewritten and now includes regimen selection (while also making it easier to enter doses taken before installing My PrEP).
Third, doxyPEP is making its debut in My PrEP! You can log your doses from the home screen, and as a My PrEP+ subscriber, you'll see at a glance which encounters are protected by your dose.
This update being one of the largest in My PrEP's seven years, if you spot the slightest bug or notice anything off, please send an email to support from the Settings tab. Thanks so much!
And finally, huge thanks to My PrEP+ subscribers: it's thanks to you that I can dedicate so much time to My PrEP and keep improving the app.

My PrEP 4.12 — Your results finally have a home
BECAUSE PREP ISN'T JUST ABOUT TAKING A PILL
You can now log your quarterly STI screenings directly in My PrEP! Record the tests performed (chlamydia, syphilis, gonorrhoea…), specify the sites tested (throat, etc.) and enter the result (not tested, negative, positive, as well as "immune" for hepatitis A and B thanks to vaccination). You can also attach your lab report as a photo or PDF to keep a complete record of your screenings. By default, the tests prescribed for PrEP are preselected, but you can add other tests if needed (always in the context of sexual health). This new screening feature is available to all users, with no My PrEP+ subscription required.
PRIVACY, ALWAYS FIRST
As always with My PrEP, this highly confidential data stays on your phone and never leaves it. No cookies, no automatic bug reporting, no analytics. That's what makes My PrEP so unique and secure.
FOR THE WILDEST NIGHTS OUT
For My PrEP+ subscribers, a small but handy addition when logging an encounter: you can now indicate a number of partners without entering their names. Perfect for those Saturday nights when you didn't exactly ask for everyone's Instagram in the darkroom.
STAY TUNED
We've got plenty in the works, including support for injectable PrEP with cabotegravir/Apretude.

4.12 Mar 30
We’ve all seen updates that arrive with fanfare, fireworks, and a brand-new tab nobody asked for.
Version 4.11, on the other hand, quietly slips in. It won’t change your life. It just makes things a little simpler, a little clearer, and a little smoother. And honestly, that’s already quite a lot.
TIDY BEDROOM
The screen for adding an encounter has been cleaned up.
New design, a minimum duration of 15 minutes for quickies, and fields reorganized in a more logical order. Spend more time with your date and less time on My PrEP.
MY PrEP+: SUNDAY BEST
The My PrEP+ subscription screen has been completely redesigned.
Clearer, easier to read, and more consistent. Everything you need to understand what the subscription offers in two seconds—and decide without feeling like you’re signing a lease.
As a reminder, subscriptions are our only source of revenue, and it’s thanks to subscribers that My PrEP can continue to exist. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
LESS WEIGHT, MORE SPEED
We’ve also updated quite a few internal tools.
It’s the invisible part—the kind you never talk about at dinner—but it makes everyday use better: a slightly faster app, a little lighter, and even more pleasant to use.
See you in the next update!

Happy 2026 to everyone! This 4.10 update might seem like a small thing compared to the start of a new year, but let’s hold onto every bit of good news we can find. And today, we have two!
SET YOUR DATA FREE
My PrEP has one obsession: keeping everything on your phone. But we also know that one day, you might want to retrieve your info to archive it, analyze it, or just to feel like you truly own it. In this version, you can now export your data:
- as a CSV file (perfect for your favorite spreadsheet)
- as a SQLite file (for those who know what a real database looks like ;p)
PORTUGUÊS, OBRIGADO!
My PrEP now speaks Portuguese! If you have friends from Brazil, Portugal, or just someone who prefers to "take a pill" with a melodic accent: now is the time to spread the word.
AS PER USUAL
Still zero tracking, zero analytics, and zero "we looked at your data to improve the experience."
Version 4.10.1 fixes a crash at startup that affected users who had Face ID enabled while their iPhone was in "Light Mode." Our sincere apologies to everyone impacted!
See you soon!

MY PREP WRAPPED: EVEN MORE OF YOU.
Ah, December. That magical time when you decorate your tree, Spotify reminds you that you’ve played Born This Way way too many times, and My PrEP Wrapped gives you your sexy-health recap for the year.
Starting December 1st, My PrEP Wrapped is back, better and spicier than ever:
- The basics of sexual health: how many partners, encounters, and pills?
- A mirror of your preferences: your favorite tags and… your preferred position (yes, the app calculated it).
- Fun to share: your stats are story-ready for Instagram (or kept private, just for you).
This update isn’t just a number: it’s your year, in the spotlight.
4.9.0 11/24/2024
This small update fixes a bug that could crash the app when adding a new partner. It also fixes a second bug that could also crash the app in some cases when on an intercourse screen with an intercourse location. Thanks a lot to the users who reported the issues!
Happy Prides to everyone :)
4.8.1 06/30/2024
Just a few days before Pride Month, here is version 4.8 of My PrEP.
Several new features await My PrEP+ subscribers: it is now possible to indicate the location when adding a sexual intercourse. This location is then displayed on the intercourse screen, giving access to all intercourses that took place at the same location, and even better, a map of your intercourses is then accessible from the Settings tab. You are, of course, free to use this feature or not.
The partner screen has been redesigned for a cleaner look, and when the Instagram handle is provided, the public profile picture is automatically retrieved. Speaking of which, when you add a partner, you can paste the entire Instagram profile URL into the handle field.
A new setting is now available to replace the AM/PM format with 24-hour time format.
The color palette has been reworked to bring more consistency. The colors used in the history are now the same as the status colors on the first tab and on the protection status banner of an encounter.
In addition to English, this new version brings Goethe's language, so My PrEP is now available in three languages: French, English, and German. Don't hesitate to tell your friends in Germany about My PrEP! A big thank you especially to Chris for his time in proofreading the translations.
Finally, My PrEP now has its own Instagram account: @myprep.app.
Cheers everyone and happy Pride Month!
4.8.0 05/29/2024
This small update fixes a bug that could prevent some My PrEP+ users to add an intercourse.
This update adds an option to get discreet notifications: instead of saying "You have now two hours to take your PrEP", the app can now say "You have two hours two save your village" like a game could say, and in that case the icon also changes to a more gaming icon. This option is available to everyone for free and can be enabled from the settings tab!
Also, it's now possible to subscribe to My PrEP+ on a yearly basis, and save 20%: the option is displayed when first subscribing, and if you are already a subscriber (thank you!) you can pick the yearly subscription from the settings tab.
Speaking of My PrEP+ subscribers, the screen to add an intercourse has been (much) improved: it's now faster to add an intercourse, and also it's now possible to add tags! Default tags are present (and will be used to pop your 2024 Wrapped in December hehe) but you can also add yours. It'll help you track even better your intercourses! As always, all the data is stored on your phone only. Nothing is sent to the cloud, ensuring unmatched security.
Featured with the previous update, you can now transfer your data from one phone to another, from the Settings. Loosing My PrEP data when changing phone is now old memory!
If you encounter a bug while using My PrEP, please send me an email from the Settings tab → Contact. And if you enjoy My PrEP, whereas your a free user or a My PrEP+ subscriber, please take 5s to give the app a review on the App Store, it means a lot to me and help the development!
Have a great week :)

4.7.0 02/13/2024
This updates finally allows to transfer My PrEP to a new phone! Just go to the settings tabs, tap "Transfer My PrEP" and start the process. You'll get a QRCode or a link to open with your new phone to import your data. Like always, privacy is at the code, so all your data is encrypted during the transfer and the key doesn't leave your phone.
This update also add a badge on the app icon when you have to take your PrEP to make it even harder to forget a pill!
A few bugs have also been fixed and many components updated under the hood. Have a great 2024!
4.6.0 02/08/2024
This (small) update adds two things: if you miss a pill you'll now receive even more notifications, until 24h after the miss, so you don't forget a second pill; and for My PrEP+ supporters, it's now possible to enter an intercourse longer than 12h.
Have a nice autumn everyone!
4.5.0 11/27/2023
This spring update implements the new recommandations to always start with two pills, but add a setting to keep the old schema (where you can start with one pill less than 7 days after a full session started with two pills).
It also change the wording of the buttons on the home screen to ease the use.
Enjoy these first days of sun!
4.4.0 04/21/2023
This small, but important update, improves the way the number of pills to take is displayed. Sometimes, that app wasn't saying clearly if you should take one or two pills (especially after a long pause). This is now fixed!
For the My PrEP+ supporters, a new entry in the settings gives you a direct access to the list of your partners, allowing you to edit or delete them. The navigation between the partner and intercourse screen has been improved as it now uses native iOS components.
The v4.3.1 fixed a bug when taking a pill early, and this v4.3.2 fixes a bug when changing the duration of an intercourse for My PrEP+ supporters.
Finally, as always, there is no tracking or analytics in My PrEP. The app does not communicate with the internet, to ensure maximum data safety and protect your privacy.
Have a good week!

4.3.0 10/12/2022
You're many to love My PrEP+ and the ability to track your intercourses and partners. However, sometimes you want to share your history but you need more privacy about who you had sex with. This update has your back: there is a new setting allowing you to hide the names of your partners. The result is a totally anonymous history.
If you forget to tell the app you took your PrEP, you'll now get a notification the day after reminding you to do it. Because if you don't you'll stop getting notifications and could miss future pills!
This update also fixes an issue when trying to subscribe to My PrEP+ with a small screen and zoomed text.
Happy automn!
4.2.0 09/30/2022
After one month, you're already 5% to have subscribed to My PrEP+! Thank you very much for your support, it means a lot to me.
Several small changes in this small update: it's now possible to change the app language in the settings, and the notifications are cleared from the App Center after you take a pill or when you stop PrEP. Also this v4.1.1 fixes a crash when the phone language was neither English neither French. Sorry for the inconvenience!

4.1.0 05/31/2022
I'm super happy to introduce you My PrEP+!
You may not know it, but behind My PrEP there is only one person. There is no team of developers, designers, product managers, with a yearly budget. But just Basile. For three years, I've been working on My PrEP for free, supporting the cost of a mobile app on my own.
Today, with the My PrEP+ (totally optional) subscription, you can help and support the development of My PrEP and the addition of new features!
My PrEP+ isn't only philanthropic: it gives you access to a brand new feature: the intercourses tracking!
Enter in the app when you have sex, it will record it (on your phone only, like every data My PrEP saves), and it will automatically compute the protection status of the intercourse. That way you'll know directly if you can stop PrEP or if you have to continue taking pills. On top of that, you'll see in the history all your intercourses, and you'll have statistics about them in the Stats tab.
This monthly subscription can be stopped at any time.
Of course, the existing free features of My PrEP will remain free. You can continue to use My PrEP as you did until now, and I'll continue to add new free features.
Speaking of which, here are the new ones: the reminders to take your PrEP now include the remaining time, so you know if you must hurry; multiple bugs have been fixed including one leading to your very first dose to be displayed twice in the history; the PrEP guide has been updated to the 2021 version; and the app has lost a lot of weight, going from 58MB to 12MB! Isn't it wonderful?

Two new features in this 2021 update: the ability to disable the first notification, two hours before the theoretical pill time (especially useful for people taking PrEP everyday), and a new notification (that can also be disabled) when the PrEP starts protecting you (two hours after the first dose). Those options are in the fourth tab "Settings".
Also, the history now goes until two years ago back in time (instead of just six months).
That's all for now, have a great day/evening/night everyone!
3.2.0 12/06/2021
This last version of 2020 includes bug fixes, and adds a warning during the onboarding, about My PrEP supporting only cisgender men. Happy 2021 to everybody!
3.1.0 12/27/2020
Little changes: when onboarding, the app asks how many pills you took, and bugs fixing. Have a good week!
3.0.3 09/04/2020
Nothing special this time, bug fixing and upgrades of the tech under the hood. Happy summer!
