商売・建築・農業・結婚・育児・戦闘・ダンジョンの冒険が出来る自由さはそのままに、さらに以下のようにパワーアップしました！
・前作「道具屋の帝国」とは違う新しいストーリーが展開されます。
・登場人物は歳を取って世代交代します。女の子供に引き継げば女主人公としてプレイできます。
・主人公も戦闘時に魔法を使えるようになりました。
・他の街の広さが4倍に増え、登場キャラは前作の2.5倍に増えています。
・株取引、武道大会、モンスター討伐などの新要素を追加。
・寿司屋、メイド喫茶、温泉といった新しい建物を建てることができます。
・街の中や外を人が動き回り、働き、夜は眠ります。
・手持ちのアイテムの一部をクロゼットにしまうことができます。
本作品は、2017年5月17日にリリースした「道具屋の人生」をiOS向けに移植したものです。
