When a parent opens Jamf Parent for the first time, the End User License Agreement now displays for the parent to accept. After a parent taps the parent and child button and then taps the avatar of a child's Mac computer, they can now pull to refresh the screen to retry connecting to the computer and sync pending schedules. After a parent pairs with a child's Mac computer, "Connected" now displays correctly on the Mac status screen and schedules sync correctly to the child's computer. Previously, "Not connected" intermittently displayed.

Parents can now use Jamf Parent to manage their children's school-issued Mac computers.

In Jamf Pro integrations, an error no longer occurs after configuring an Ad Hoc device rule that restricts all apps.

Below the child's name, switches now display next to Websites​, Restrictions​, and Allowed apps​. These switches control each corresponding section. Parents can use each switch to show or hide the section and apply or remove its settings on the child's device. When a switch is turned off, the section's settings are saved and reapplied when the switch is turned on again. When a full screen error is encountered, parents can now tap Retry​ to attempt the action again

Generic error messages no longer display in situations where specific error messages should be displayed. Device rules now correctly start based on their configured start times.

If a parent is paired with two or more child devices and unpairs from one, the remaining child device names now correctly display. Previously, the removed child device name still displayed. In Jamf School integrations, an error no longer occurs after tapping – to remove an app from Allowed apps.

The Jamf Parent icon has been redesigned with Liquid Glass to provide a more modern look and feel. This update is available only for devices with iOS 26 or later or iPadOS 26 or later. When opening Jamf Parent, the correct user interface now displays.

Changes and Improvements The following user interface improvements have been made to Device rules: On the Restricted apps screen, a divider line now displays above the Custom app category to indicate that it works differently than the app categories above it. The Apps screen that displays after tapping the Custom app category has been renamed Allowed apps.

The Jamf Parent user interface now uses Liquid Glass to provide a more modern look and feel. This update is available only for devices with iOS 26 or later or iPadOS 26 or later.

The Journal app has been added to Restrictions and displays under Device Functionality. Device Rules now correctly loads after adding a child device or switching between child devices.

In Jamf School integrations, when parents who are manually paired with multiple child devices tap​ Remove Child​, a confirmation dialog containing a list of child devices that will also be removed from the app now displays.

Changes and Improvements In Jamf School integrations, a Clear all button now displays under Allowed websites, Allowed apps, and Restrictions. This button enables parents to remove multiple configured settings and restrictions from a child's device at once. Resolved Issues - On the Device Rules screen, the first device rule created correctly displays directly beneath Create Device Rules instead of a blank row. - When a parent pairs with a child's device manually instead of via QR code and then logs in again, the child's device no longer paired multiple times.

In Jamf Pro integrations, editing an active Ad Hoc device rule by modifying the app category now works correctly and the new restrictions are correctly applied to the child's device. In Jamf School integrations, Ad Hoc device rules can no longer be configured. Previously configured Ad Hoc device rules still display in Device Rules. Parents can use Websites, Restrictions, and Allowed apps to allow and restrict apps and websites on a child’s device.

After downloading Jamf Parent from the App Store and opening it for the first time, an error no longer occurs on the Notifications permissions screen.

Supervising Device List Enhancement for Jamf School When pairing a parent device with a child device, users are now prompted to enter a parent device name after scanning the QR code on the child's device. The configured name will display on the supervising devices list and will apply to all subsequent child device pairings. If all child devices are unpaired from the parent device, users will be prompted to enter a parent device name again when a new child device is paired. Resolved Issues - When a child device and parent device are unpaired in Jamf School, the child device no longer displays in Jamf Parent. - For users using the Jamf Pro integration, unpairing a child device from a parent device now works correctly.

Device Pairing Enhancements for Jamf School The workflow for pairing parent and child devices has been improved to provide a more secure experience. The following enhancements have been added: - On a parent device, users can now view a list of all supervising devices for child's device tapping the child's name. Note: If the list displays devices the parent does not recognize or want supervising the child's device, you can unpair them in Jamf School. Navigate to Users > Users in the sidebar and click the child's name, then click Edit details. Next to Parents in the Jamf Parent section, click X next to the name of the device you want to unpair from the child's device, then click Save. - On a child device, users can now view a list of all supervising devices by navigating to Settings and tapping Authorize parent. - A notification now displays on both the parent and child devices when the devices are paired. - The device pairing QR code is now valid for 15 minutes before it expires and a new code must be used. - On a parent device, users can now unpair a child device by navigating to Settings and tapping the device they want to unpair in the Paired devices section. Users can then tap Remove paired device and the two devices will be unpaired.
