Open any page in another browser right from Safari’s toolbar. Click the 4Ktube toolbar button to switch to Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera, or another app. 4Ktube extension also shows a 4K badge in the toolbar if a YouTube video you’re watching offers quality higher than 1080p. To skip a video ad that’s playing hold the Fn key and click the toolbar button. How to Use 4Ktube: • Download and open 4Ktube app. • Click “Show in Safari Settings” button. • Enable “4Ktube” extension in Safari Extension Settings. • Select which browser you’d like to open links in: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera or any other app that can handle it. Click the toolbar icon to open the current page in your chosen browser. Shift-click to also close the page in Safari when you open it elsewhere. This can be set as the default behavior in the app settings. Option-click the toolbar button to open 4Ktube Settings.

As you know,you can't watch Youtube's videos in 4k quality on Safari, So if you are someone like me who uses Safari all the time and just need Chrome to watch 4k videos,it's the fastest way to do it with this extention,Just a question to developer: when you want to enable extention from Safari, it says this extension reads all sensetive data such as passwords and credit card information. Can you explain how it's safe to use this extention? If I get the answer I'll update my 4 star to 5.

Hi! Thank you for the review. The safety is a valid concern. Safari extensions work by loading scripts into webpages you visit. Therefore Safari warns that a script technically *can* read page information and browsing history. 4Ktube reads the current page address of any site only to be able to open it another browser. And it reads page contents when visiting YouTube only to determine the video quality. Currently there’s no way to fine-tune these permissions without reducing the extension functionality. You can verify that the Extension Script is only loaded for YouTube pages by going to Resources tab of Safari Web Inspector.

Thank you. The 4Ktube extension script is only loaded on YouTube pages. Webpage addresses are read for visited pages so that you can open them in another browser when you click on the toolbar icon. The extension does not save or transmit your browsing history or contents elsewhere. You can check what Extension Scripts are loaded on any page:- Select Safari > Preferences menu.- Click Advanced tab and enable “Show Develop menu” option. Then when you visit a page you can select Develop > Show Page Resources and review “Extension Scripts” list. Check4K script belongs to 4Ktube extension and is loaded only on YouTube.com.
