L'application GemSpectr permet d'obtenir le spectre de pierres précieuses et semi précieuses facilement et rapidement. Elle permet également d'enregistrer ses spectres et de se constituer sa propre base de données. Cette application fonctionne nécessairement avec le dispositif GoSpectro commercialisé par la société GoyaLab. Son système d'auto-calibration de la longueur d'onde grâce à une lampe fluo-compacte permet d'obtenir une précision des longueurs d'onde à +/- 8nm.
