It is recommended that the Lens Scanner app is used by individuals 18 years old and above, with stable vision, and who are happy with their current prescription. Further requirements include cylinder measurement lower than -2.50 and single vision prescription between -6.00 and +3.00.

It is not recommended to use the Lens Scanner app if you:
• Have a progressive, multifocal, or bifocal prescription
• Have a prescription that includes a prism measurement
• Have a high single-vision or astigmatism prescription
• Take any medication that affects your vision
• Have any illness or condition that affects your eye health

Amazing APP

Forgot where my prescription was when I was buying online and with this app it told me !! Well done! Why go to an optom anymore when you can just scan, browse, try and buy all with smartbuyglasses! Well done !

After 20+ tries it didn’t work

Went through way too many tries only to get” image is blurry, clean your camera, except the app kept losing focus every time so it wasn’t my camera. Made it past that problem eventually and got to the tilting stage. Every time for over 20 tries it couldn’t read my prescription and wanted to know if I wanted help (contact support) but I don’t know what support could do to help through email or try again. After 30 tries, my fingers are in pain and I’ve deleted the app. Not worth keeping when the app fails so often.
