HICO XBrowser MP allows to download publication packages from the HICO DeMoS system. These publications can be viewed in a structural way inside the app. Furthermore is supports full text search, barcode scanner, task list (to do list), shopping cart, and various data visualisations of the publication data.
Additionally, HICO XBrowser sends metadata of the installed publications to the DeMoS system.
The app is used by HICO DeMoS customers.

- Also based on a popular request, with Quick content switch you can now freely switch between Open documents while keeping your scroll position - works with both HTML and PDF content files. This feature can be enabled and disabled in the Configuration page. Branding packages are now more reliable when installing or updating. You will also get a clear message when changes are happening.

- What's New is a dialog that showcases the new features. It will open automatically after the first installation or an update of the application, but you can always open it in the "Configuration page".
- The Notes feature was completely renovated with a newer and more modern design.
- In the previous release we introduced the feature "Also install updates" in the installation dialog. After listening to user feedback, for release 5.8 we are making this option to be checked by default.
- Listening to user feedback as well, the new feature "Smart expand" will allow to navigate through the tree folder structures much quicker. The new feature can be enabled in the Configuration page if the "Tree navigation" feature is enabled.

The download and installation dialog has been improved for a better user experience. When installing new packages it is now possible to select "also install updates": This allows the user to install multiple packages and their respective updates in one go.
The version contains additional minor improvements and bug fixes.

Tree Navigation:
Navigating the publications/manual structure is now defaulting to a tree navigation as known from other HICO AMaX Products.
The user may choose to switch back to the old way of navigating in the settings.
Swipes in the tree allow "Add to Favorites" and "Add to TaskSet".
Split Screen:
It is possible to show the tree navigation together with the content in a flexible split view.
If the tablet is used in landscape mode, it is now also possible to show the illustrations together with the content in a split view.
In landscape mode it is even possible to have all three panels present at the same time.
These panels can be resized by the user to best fit their needs.
Single Publication Support:
The HICO iPS.Suite® MARIE will support the publishing of single (supplier) publication packages (one PDF).
This is supported in the HICO X-Browser:App(iOS) as well.
Continue Reading:
Additional buttons on the bottom of navigation, allow the user to jump to the "next" or "previous" content within the manual.
Next and previous mean the next and previous content as if it would be one huge pdf (so similar to "next/previous page").
TaskSet Improvement:
It is now more clear, how to get to the actual content from the task set to execute the planned procedure.
Swipe gesture removed from content:
Swiping left or right on the textual content was removed. This functionality was rarely used and causes confusion and overlap with other mobile gestures.
Update reminder frequency improved:
The update reminder was triggered too often. This has been improved to a more convenient frequency.
