Welcome to 2026.1! Yes, 2026.1! We've aligned the version numbering across our products with the release year for a simpler and more consistent experience. This release marks a major step in modernizing the app, introducing the first phase of our redesigned interface along with significant improvements to the overall user experience. - The Packages page has been completely redesigned! Package cards now show key information at a glance, including publication date, version, and file size. Installing, updating, and removing packages is also faster, simpler, and more intuitive than before. - The Document View is now cleaner and more spacious. By moving navigation to the top bar, we've freed up valuable screen space so you can focus on your content. - Access the Packages page in just one tap. - Use the More (...) menu to quickly access additional features. - Finding settings is now easier than ever. The Configuration page has been reorganized into four clear sections: - Credentials: Authentication and access settings. - Content updates: Synchronization and download preferences. - Customize user interface: Appearance and interaction options. - System details: Technical, diagnostic information and Release Notes. - Hotspot functionality has been reviewed and improved for compatibility with iPS.Suite 2026.1 and X-Browser iOS 2026.1, resolving previously reported issues. - The new Configuration page also offers also the possibility to configure the text marking options: Show change markings and Show Notes - Additional bug fixes and performance improvements throughout the application.

- The “Show Package Information” button is once again available when using "Tree navigation" - Fixed a set of rare crashes likely triggered by the stricter file protection introduced in previous versions

- The “Swipe-left to Favorite” action has been streamlined for all document types (including unstructured documents, like PDFs) - The Package Version display has been updated to match the other HICO products (005.03 instead of 5.3) - Global Search is considering the package applicability more strictly to further tailor the search results to what the user is actually looking for - 3D Animations are now brought to the users view, when an animation is started - Keychain and Credential handling has been further improved - General improvements and fixes

- Improved Applicability Filtering Delivering a more consistent and intuitive experience. - Introducing Advanced Applicability Profiles and Presets The new Advanced Applicability Profiles and Presets allow you to define both technical and mission-based conditions to tailor content precisely to your operational context. Packages can now include Presets representing preconfigured technical profiles to simplify setup and ensuring consistency When updating your packages and using condition based applicability, you will be guided through an interactive migration process to adapt any existing profiles to the latest available conditions. Note: this requires the release EMMA from the HICO iPS.Suite® - Support Disclaimer Packages can now include a Disclaimer. A Disclaimer contains critical information that you need to know and acknowledge before accessing the content of the Package. The presence and content of the Disclaimer can be defined in the HICO iPS.Suite® Note: this requires the release EMMA from the HICO iPS.Suite® - Introducing a Quick Navigation of a package The Quick Navigation enables a thumb-index style navigation system that allows users to jump quickly between key sections of a package, improving efficiency and orientation. The presence, style and content of the Quick Navigation can be defined in the HICO iPS.Suite® Note: this requires the release EMMA from the HICO iPS.Suite® - Introducing Visual Applicability Bars on Data Modules This feature ensures immediate insight into complex inline applicability conditions and improving content clarity. Note: this requires the release EMMA from the HICO iPS.Suite® - Introducing a history side panel This allows you to retrace your steps through procedures, making it easier to revisit previously accessed content and maintain workflow continuity.

Support for 3D Animations in Procedures Includes a new user interface to interact with the animation Note: this requires the release EMMA of HICO iPS.Suite® to create packages containing 3D Animations. Improved Procedure Progress Tracking Checkmarks on procedures are now saved between sessions. This function can be disabled by the user in the settings. Note: A full support of Save procedure progress requires the release EMMA of HICO iPS.Suite. Improved User Experience for Illustrations Improved size and placement of navigation buttons for illustrations Improved Feedback during Package Visualization Missing or unsupported content is better communicated to the user

- We greatly increased the speed of the DeMoS package download with client side improvements. - Introducing the new Fit feature for 3d Illustrations. Instantly zoom-in on any selected part or section, for an easier inspection or interaction. - The old Manuals view got an upgrade! In Home you can enjoy a cleaner, more consistent tree-style navigation that is part of our ongoing push for a smoother, modern user experience. - Also based on a popular request, with Quick content switch you can now freely switch between Open documents while keeping your scroll position - works with both HTML and PDF content files. This feature can be enabled and disabled in the Configuration page. Branding packages are now more reliable when installing or updating. You will also get a clear message when changes are happening. - General bugfixes and improvements

- Support for Audio mp3 (figures) - Improvements for adding Material to the Shopping Cart - Help Enhancements for the Barcode Scanner - Performance and Stability improvements on the Configuration and Installation Dialog - Support for Container data modules Note: A full support requires an update to the HICO iPS.Suite® EMMA (which is currently being developed).

- What's New is a dialog that showcases the new features. It will open automatically after the first installation or an update of the application, but you can always open it in the "Configuration page". - The Notes feature was completely renovated with a newer and more modern design. - In the previous release we introduced the feature "Also install updates" in the installation dialog. After listening to user feedback, for release 5.8 we are making this option to be checked by default. - Listening to user feedback as well, the new feature "Smart expand" will allow to navigate through the tree folder structures much quicker. The new feature can be enabled in the Configuration page if the "Tree navigation" feature is enabled. - Added support to iPadOS 18 - General bug fixes and improvements

The download and installation dialog has been improved for a better user experience. When installing new packages it is now possible to select "also install updates": This allows the user to install multiple packages and their respective updates in one go. The version contains additional minor improvements and bug fixes.

Tree Navigation: Navigating the publications/manual structure is now defaulting to a tree navigation as known from other HICO AMaX Products. The user may choose to switch back to the old way of navigating in the settings. Swipes in the tree allow "Add to Favorites" and "Add to TaskSet". Split Screen: It is possible to show the tree navigation together with the content in a flexible split view. If the tablet is used in landscape mode, it is now also possible to show the illustrations together with the content in a split view. In landscape mode it is even possible to have all three panels present at the same time. These panels can be resized by the user to best fit their needs. Single Publication Support: The HICO iPS.Suite® MARIE will support the publishing of single (supplier) publication packages (one PDF). This is supported in the HICO X-Browser:App(iOS) as well. Continue Reading: Additional buttons on the bottom of navigation, allow the user to jump to the "next" or "previous" content within the manual. Next and previous mean the next and previous content as if it would be one huge pdf (so similar to "next/previous page"). TaskSet Improvement: It is now more clear, how to get to the actual content from the task set to execute the planned procedure. Swipe gesture removed from content: Swiping left or right on the textual content was removed. This functionality was rarely used and causes confusion and overlap with other mobile gestures. Update reminder frequency improved: The update reminder was triggered too often. This has been improved to a more convenient frequency.

For PDF documents, the new version includes the possibility to use bookmarks and display page thumbnails. We have also added the option to download multiple packages in a single action, as well as various other improvements and bug fixes.

This version supports iPadOS 17 and includes a complete redesign of the app icons. We have added a search function in PDF documents, support for legacy PDFs and various performance improvements and bug fixes.
