The irrigation app is a simple to use recording tool for the application of irrigation water onto agricultural land. The app is designed to allow the user the ability to create Irrigation Management Zones (IMZ) within their farming operation. An IMZ could be simply described as a parcel of land where irrigation is applied to a known location that may include part of a field, a whole field or a group of fields. The app allows the user to use a simple map interface to trace around the parcel of land that form the basis of an IMZ and give that parcel a unique name. Users can then assign pumps to the IMZ's and record irrigation events against them, through which a report can later be generated including calculations based on water use, cost, area and crop.
