Alright so I've been using honey for a long time now and it has saved me a bunch of money. So in favor of honey I'm gonna list why you should install honey. #1 Easy to install, when it comes to cupon apps 'n stuff they always remind you to "sign up" or make you sign up to use their app. Honey however does not do that. All you do is just install it and bam you'd be saving money in no time, not only that it takes two clicks. By hitting Add to Chrome and Add Extension, or in my case in Apple terms. Get and Install, Those two clicks will change your life and how you find cupons. #3, It's fricking easy to use. Whenever you checkout you will see a little tab on the top right corner of your screen pop up with a little coin guy (which the coin is cute) and it tells you that it found some cupon codes for you to apply. They test it and make sure that they work before it automatically applys it to your cart right before checking out. Last but not least, #4 It's reliable for saving money. You're probably asking yourself (or not) "How does honey find these codes?" They don't generate it, but they search the entire web for them. And like I said once it has been tested it automatically applys it for you so you don't have to do the painful work of having to apply it yourself. Not only that but it saves you a crap ton of money ranging from $2 dollars to something as big as $700 DOLLARS. That's insane! Not only that but if you don't get cupons. They let you know that you're getting the best price when purchasing the products. That is all and G6 is out!

You know the expression “if it seems too good to be true, it probably is”? That is NOT the case with Honey. Time & time again I am pleasant surprised - or even pleasantly SHOCKED - as to how effective Honey is when it comes to saving consumers money. I am a skeptic turned true believer! I was concerned it would lead to popups or spam or whatever, but that’s not been the case at all. Every now and then, there’s no discount to be had. But FAR more often, Honey beats other coupon codes I’ve found — or, because it automatically runs through multiple coupons, it finds deals you would not otherwise know exist. I’ve left almost no reviews for apps, but this one earned it.

To respond to the devloper comment, it wasn't the codes that usually didn't work that ultimately made me remove it from my computer, it was how horrible it made Safari run. The Honey Extension really slowed things down. Between this and the fact that the codes didn't always work, I removed it. And FWIW, I didn't ever enter codes, I just let Honey do it, but like I mentioned, most times they didn't work...I downloaded this a couple of months ago on my MBA. Over the last couple of months, it has "saved" me some money on a few random purchases without me actually having to search for codes and trying them. I never signed up with Honey, I just let it do it's thing when browsing for items to buy. Most times it didn't do anything though... Anyway, I have noticed the last few weeks that my computer has been going really slow.... and this came on suddenly. I have gigabit internet and my computers no slouch, so I knew something was wrong... I had a hunch that it may be this app slowing everything down so today I deleted it from my computer.... and BAM! My computer is back to lightening fast! So, nevermind the fact that this is just a data miner (but what isn't anymore?) but this was an ok app. Too bad it slowed everything down so much though... I couldn't take how much it slowed Safari down and took it off... and it won't be back. I'll just have to go back to using google to search for coupons again! lol.

I used this app, and in the beginning, it saved me a few bucks. Sure, it is convenient to have an automatic coupon search when they even work. It is, however, unclear how to use the accumulated reward points (I guess they're helpful to use within their affiliated merchants?). Anyway, despite its usefulness or not, I uninstalled this app given the incredible amount of personal data it collects from users, including financial information, browser history, searches, location, and so much more. They build a comprehensive profile of their users to serve whatever business they run behind the curtains based on user data mining. Suppose this is okay if you don't mind giving away your sensitive data for free (the coupons are searchable anyway). Honey is a Paypal service, a company whose business model and ethics are not on my best consideration. If you make heavy use of online shopping, you can save a few dollars the easy way, but the trade of my personal information for such a convenience is definitely not worth it.
