Virtual analogue polyphonic synth with 3 oscillators, dual filters, flexible modulation, motion sequencing and built-in FX. Stereo and MPE possibilities included. BLEASS Alpha Synthesizer is a versatile virtual analogue polyphonic synthesizer built for immediate, hands-on sound design. Its three oscillators combine variable waveshapes and pulse widths with unison, hard sync, cross modulation and ring modulation, while dual variable-state filters with drive add further colour and character. The streamlined interface follows the natural signal path, keeping powerful synthesis controls accessible at a glance. Bring sounds to life with three ADSR envelopes, two multi-waveform LFOs and extensive modulation possibilities, while the Motion Sequencer adds rhythmic and expressive movement that can work hand in hand with the built-in arpeggiator. MPE support extends the performance possibilities, and BLEASS' efficient audio engine keeps the experience smooth and responsive on mobile devices. A complete built-in effects section includes Overdrive, Bitcrusher, Tremolo, filtered ping-pong Delay and Reverb, adding everything from subtle movement to more radical processing directly within the synth. More than 200 factory presets provide ready-to-play sounds and starting points for your own creations. BLEASS Alpha Synthesizer can be used as a standalone app or AUv3 instrument on iPhone and iPad. Also available for Windows and macOS. More information and technical specifications available on: https://www.bleass.com/alpha/

Excellent for sound design

Every aspect of this powerful synth can be modulated externally and internally. What does that mean? You can do a lot of cool and weird stuff with it you’ve never heard before and make a variety of nice synth sounds.Works pretty well on all iPads as well, iPad Pro is not necessary, all of Bleass apps have very efficient programming and are friendly on your CPU usage.

Deltacaster, we appreciate, thanks a lot.

Basic sounds…

Nitpick Pete
They are decent noises, and tons of them, but most are rather uninspiring. There are a few gems that have space in my faves so definitely keeping the fully loaded app in the mix.Speaking of mix, while most of the sounds by themselves are perhaps a bit lackluster, they leave a lot of room in the audio spectrum for other tracks, and sometimes this app offers just the perfect patch that fits nicely in the mix.

Developer Response
We guess that's a matter of taste, we're sorry we couldn't fully match your expectations. Thank you for your honesty!

Fear 2 Stop
First the negative…I’m not really a fan of the presets. The positive: everything else. It’s easy to make your own patches that sound great thanks to the typically awesome BLEASS UI . Everything they’ve made before and after Alpha has held true to that. Everything is simple to use, but the level of depth is amazing. You need this synth….

Developer Response
We appreciate your strong support and hope you're still having fun with us.

Can y’all have a meeting with all the other iOS synth developers and let them know how important it is to have a CPU friendly smooth running app? The best sounds in the world don’t mean much if it’s crackling and crashing every other time.

Developer Response
ah ah! Well thank you! indeed we focus on high stability and efficiency and so do other developers! but it's not always easy considering many parameters (buffer / daw / iPad specs)...
