A shroud of mystery envelops these uncharted medieval lands where ancient monuments, relics and mythical creatures await. Echoes of bygone eras speak of past greatness and in Kingdom Two Crowns, part of the award-winning franchise Kingdom, you embark on an adventure as the Monarch. In this side-scrolling journey atop your steed, you recruit loyal subjects, build your Kingdom and protect your crown from the Greed, monstrous creatures looking to steal your Kingdom's treasures.

As the night falls, shadows come to life and the monstrous Greed assault your kingdom. Rally your troops, muster your courage, and steel yourself, for each night will demand ever-growing feats of tactical mastermind. Deploy archers, knights, siege weapons, and even newfound Monarch abilities and artifacts to hold against the waves of Greed.

Fun Game That Keeps it Simple, Though Slight Gripes.
Kalebtoo2
Overall, the game is fun. However, there are a couple gripes I have with the game. Firstly, the game only lets you choose the look of your character in the beginning of the campaign. If you die (To a bomb you set while trying to shield your last man from a trail of greeds), it seems the game chooses your look at random. The fact choosing a look is already a feature anyways confuses me further. The fact you can’t choose the look/apparel of your character at any given time is rather unfortunate as it’s quite literally pixelated. I had to purposely kill myself in game twice the same way I first died to figure out that I should just start a new campaign.Secondly, there’s basically only one if not a couple ways to be successful. Variation of the solution doesn’t seem to be present. Then there’s the fact you’re the only one with a horse/mount. No personal mounted guards like a real monarch. No attacking with swords or a bow. You’re basically a non-violent manager/cheerleader on a mount. Finally, Co-Op is abysmal. I had assumed the standard WiFi-based co-op. But it’s literally split screen. You basically have to play it with someone like you’re showing them a video but don’t want them to hold the phone, so you both end up holding the phone with a questionable pseudo tug-of-war.All in all, it has the makings of a fantastic RP-Strategy game. If any of these get improved upon. There’s no doubt it would be on anyone’s first page.
Call of Olympus is Great

Call of Olympus is an awesome DLC that evolves the core game and enhances the experience. I like the newly added mechanics such as the additional boats earned at each island, the non linearity and choice of which island to go to, the ability to lead a small army, the weapons of the Greek gods, and the new mounts. The additional boats earned builds momentum throughout the campaign, allowing more of your people to join you as you begin your conquest of each island, makes it easier and faster to establish a foothold on each new island you encounter. The boats also help during your raids which is awesome and adds much needed damage as combat in this game is more engaging than ever with new greed types, bosses, and island mechanics. The non linearity allows you to discover what each island holds on your own and each island holds something valuable so you can prioritize how you want to play. Being able to lead a small army with the flag makes combat more engaging as your positioning affects your troops positioning and allows you to go on quick raids to cover your villagers returning to town or deal damage to the greed portals without having to commit your entire army. Your small army is more agile and more in your control. The weapons of the gods are all powerful and useful in their cases and can be combined with the mounts for some great synergies. The mounts seem more balanced in this version of the game. I’m glad that there are enough gems to collect all the mounts. All the mounts and weapons are strong in their own situations which is great gameplay. The island mechanics kept the gameplay interesting and the game ended in a nice boss island and boss fight which took careful planning and maneuvering. Overall an awesome game I would highly recommend.
Fatal flaw of a lacking tutorial

Great graphics, gameplay and variety. This is a resource allocation and building strategy game, one of main twists is that moving around the map is part of gameplay (you move across a two dimensional plane instead of having a birds eye view as is typical). That’s a pretty cool twist since it open up a whole new dimension to the variety in gameplay: you can upgrade you method of transport (creatures you ride, they all have different behaviors and perks). But it does make the game much slower to progress.I would have given this game 5 stars instead of the one if it had a sensible tutorial. Unfortunately, existing tutorial only covers things like “you can ride the horse to the right” and nothing of the game mechanics. There is also no contextual help or annotations of any sort. The game relies on you learning via failing and repeating almost entirely. Some of this discovery is quick and can actually be fun (like getting kicked by the monsters so you know to avoid them) but it gets unmanageable quickly. There is a lot of repeating you’ll have to do because of unexpectedly losing resources because of it. Like how am I supposed to know that paying in front of the wall calls an attack and only with one squad unless you pay twice? Or how am supposed to know that monsters will be upgraded on the first map if I return to it? Or why are my people not hiding behind the wall in an attack all of a sudden? The list is very long.I am an adult who is gainfully employed so I don’t have time for that much repetition, to me the game is basically unplayable.
Passable despite poor mechanics

iOS store has such a low bar for quality I get why this game is rated well however there is just a lot of frustrating game design choices that really take the fun out of the game. I am not afraid of difficulty at all but overcoming stupid problems is not the kind of challenge I’m trying to overcome. I can’t list everything but I just learned the “leaping greed” can knock your crown and run past you to get it… whatever, but I’m tired of starting back at island one, building a ship for each island to subsequently re-light each shrine, partially rebuild each island. This is just tedium which bring me to a rock and a hard, place do I lower the difficulty so by the time I get back to my main island the difficulty is right when I get there and suffer boredom until I do or leave it and possibly arrive at winter as it will take even longer to get there with higher difficulty. It’s just a lot of boring maintenance time. This is aside from others claims of garbage ai, inability to cancel anything, retaliation being a random side (not seeing it is boring and dangerous), RNG screwing you on a new island with no resources, no explanation of anything, lacking in real robustness, etc etc
