Left a 1 star review one year ago, due to customer service and functionality issues. I am happy to report that the app is working near perfect now. The customer service response time has been reduced to under 48 hours. I’m back on board with this app, I strongly believe they want to make this the best logbook software possible. Definitely worth a look. I’m happy to say I strongly recommend it again! Keep up the great work.

There were some growing pains for me as a previous user of mccPilotLog. The new desktop software and the mobile app were a mess. I couldn’t get the totals to equal what was on the old software and the mobile app would just hang and never finish syncing. So I would give up on it and just continue using the old mccPilotLog software. Every few months I would try CrewLounge PilotLog again and see if the bugs were fixed. They never were. Until now. Finally I’m happy to report that last week I gave it another try and everything worked like expected! The totals on the new software matched exactly to the old mccPilotLog and the mobile app synced quickly. I can finally feel comfortable deleting the old mccPilotLog software and fully switching to the new CrewLounge PilotLog.

Absolute garbage. Had the lifetime membership when they used to be MCC logbooks. I had to pay for another “lifetime” membership fee when they updated their app. It was fine for a while until I really needed it to work and got THE CALL for an interview with a major airline. A dream opportunity. As I was updating my logbook four weeks prior to the interview, the app on my PC suddenly crashed. I kept getting an error message and all my flights were gone. I tried using my backup from a few days prior with no success, tried the backup from a month prior with no success, and then I tried using the app on my phone. Again, no success. Well, four weeks should be plenty of time to get help from the developer to resolve the issue right? Wrong! They took two weeks to respond to my email. I would have called them but they didn’t have any phone number on their website. When I finally got a response from them I was very clear that I needed this problem resolved ASAP and that I had an important interview in two weeks. The tech assured me that they would help me resolve the problem quickly. I just needed to send them the error message along with the app data. They took another two weeks before they finally responded with a “We have good news! We are releasing a new software build.” Completely and utterly useless. Horrible customer service. Complete waste of money especially having to pay TWICE for a so called lifetime membership. DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR LOGBOOK WHEN YOUR CAREER DEPENDS ON IT! Fortunately, I was able to send my backup file to another app called Safelog and they were able to get my logbook transferred two days before I had to travel for my interview. Safelog literally sent me a response within 15 minutes when I explained my situation to them. This app is a horrible with even worse customer support. Use any of the other professional digital logbooks so you don’t have to stress and scramble when you get a call for the big interview.

Though this new version is much better than the previous ones, there are still issues with Sync between devices. On a separate issue, I uploaded my planned roster for December, from the iPad and it changed all flights from 2 months ago, even though I selected to download the month of December only. Took me two hours to fix everything. Very disappointing and frustrating. Also, on iPad, dare and plane registration number overlaps when on Flight screen. Unable to read either. On my last review I gave one star. Now it is 3. I will give this developer one more chance before I move on to a different product. Customer service takes forever to respond. Lots of room for improvement.
