Is it possible to prevent other files/icons from being positioned behind the doc when it is locked in place on the desktop? Having experienced ”missing” desktop items only to discover them behind the dock, I think that would be a useful addition. Maybe it could even be turned on and off. This app has been the answer to a really annoying problem experienced ever since starting to use a laptop to drive external monitors while at work and using it as a laptop when mobile. Gong from one to the other resulted in icons going crazy and being placed all over the desktops. Now with SpeedDock I can save separate icon arrangements for when working with two external monitors, and when using the laptop screen. THANKS!!

Never found a setting to force Apple's Dock to stick. Speed Dock stays put and has other nice features. I ran into a little problem and the developer responded quickly. He figured out it was a setting in Mission Control. Once I flipped that setting, all worked well.

SpeedDock is a slick app that puts your needed apps in an accessible dock so you can get them when you need them. Much, much better than Apple's version and saves a lot of screen area as well. I had three issues with using the app and Ron solved all of them within 24 hours including follow-up emails to make sure my needs were met quickly and completely. Great app, great support.
