Great Start!

I am very encouraged by this app. One shortcoming I see is being able to offer ratings different from those already offered. I encountered a restaurant that was labeled fully accessible with accessible bathrooms. That was not my experience. Also I wasn’t able to add that there was many 180 degree turns required to get into the restaurant and it’s bathroom.Scooter access is different from kids or wide wheelchairs. Three wheeled scooters are more maneuverable than four wheeled. Turns become very limiting. A kids chair may get in but a more robust conveyance not. There’s nothing to stop a chain like a restaurant saying that all of its locations are accessible when those of us who have to get in might disagree strongly. All accessibility requirements are not equal.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback, we really appreciate you sharing your experience. You’re absolutely right: accessibility isn’t one-size-fits-all, and what works for one person may not work for another. On AccessNow, we encourage everyone to add their own reviews, even if they differ from what's already listed. Your perspective helps others make informed decisions and makes the platform stronger for the whole community.

Terrible layout for iPad, explore page doesn’t show local

It’s pretty much as the title says. The iPad layout is awful. It’s tiny, smaller than what it would be on a phone screen. And when you go to the explore page, it shows you worldwide exploration, instead of local, or at least an option for it to be between local, state, country, or global. Very disappointing.

I just read about this app and download it. The majority of the places that are listed have been out of business for several years. Not sure how useful that information would be.

Developer Response
Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry some of the listings you saw were out of date, that’s not the experience we aim to deliver. AccessNow is community-powered in cities around the world, and flagging places in the app helps us stay up to date.
