It turns out the app issues I experienced were entirely on my end: you cannot use a VPN while logging in due to their security protocols. Tech support was right all along—my apologies to the BlueVine team!A Partner Since Day One (2020): I’ve been a proud customer since 2020, right when I launched my small business. While the transition involving Coastal Community Bank had a few bumps, clear communication smoothed everything out.Why I Recommend Them:• Reliability: I have never had a single issue with deposits.• Speed: Mobile deposit uploads have only gotten faster and more intuitive over the years.• Value: It’s hard to beat a service with zero basic fees and no minimum deposit requirements.A Note to Other Users:I’m honestly perplexed by the flood of negative reviews. RUN AWAY WHILE YOU CAN! Slowest processing time of any institution I’ve ever worked with. The only thing they process quickly are there fees they charge which which they market as if they don’t have because they are a digital banking service without the brick and mortar overhead (lies). Have a question about your account? Be prepared to wait at least 2 full business days minimum for a response (often not at all), which honestly doesn’t matter cause you’re not going to like the response they give you anyways. Their digital solution for envelope style banking is definitely more of a bug than a feature and the price for finding that out is a ton of fees and a “hope you learned your lesson” customer support response. It took me over 1 year and 20 different calls, chats, and emails to finally get my account closed. The more hope you have when considering Bluevine, the more pain and agony you will experience because you gave them so much opportunity to take advantage of you. I am a very reasonable person, this is not an overreaction, this is my solemn warning to anyone considering Bluevine for their banking services, run away as fast as you can, before its too late. I was warned but didn’t heed it and now I live in perpetual regret. Faithful customer for one year, then prisoner for over a year. To this day I still haven’t been able to get them to close all my accounts.

When I first opened my BlueVine account (around 9 months ago) everything was working fine. The only problem I had was them putting 12 day holds on less than $1000 checks. Now it's gotten to the point that every time they update the app, my account gets put on hold for "further review". On top of that, they selectively accept checks. Sometimes you go to upload a check and it will deposit, other times you go to upload it and it will say "upload successful" and then turn around and say "the document has failed to upload" and then you have no way to cash the check since you've already wrote "for BlueVine mobile deposit only" on it.When you call about what's happening, all they tell you is that "your account is on hold because they are reviewing your information" and don't give you a reason as to why. They have interrupted my business and my livelihood multiple times now, and I've heard from multiple other people that they will end up NOT REMOVING THE HOLD and stealing your money. DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK. They are LIARS, SCAMMERS, THIEVES, and WHITE COLLAR CRIMINALS. I cannot believe this has happened to me. All of my hard earned money is just gone. No access whatsoever. Please for the sake of god don't put your money into a BlueVine account unless you want to legally get robbed.

An exorbitantly long wait for money

I do have to say that free business banking, let alone with the possibility of interest on your balance (with specific rules), is definitely enticing. As someone who is just starting his business, I was looking to save money by going this Bluevine option. I am in no hurry, so I tried the bank transfer (with a connected bank accounts) and electronic check deposit options with Bluevine and I must say, it has been over 10days now since I “deposited” a check and it still has NOT posted to the Bluevine account. If you need your funds available immediately after depositing, this will NEVER work for you. 10+ days to see the money post to you account is an unacceptable amount of time, especially when I see the money pulled from the other account within a couple days… But if you are looking for free business checking to start and don’t need money immediately, it can be an option. As I get up and running, I will most definitely be looking for a more acceptable banking option. But, for now, it will work it work for the short term. Don’t expect much from Bluevine and you won’t be too disappointed.
