See the meaning, hear the word, then find its kanji and kana on the grid. Each tile is one kanji or one kana, so you learn to read Japanese and hear how it sounds at the same time.
THE KANA, FREE
• Hiragana and katakana, with dakuten, the small kana and combinations, the long mark and the small tsu: 223 in all
• Each kana with its sound and a word that starts with it, like a · あなた (you)

• Review words are back in pack games: a full pack brings in 3 words from other packs (1 or 2 in shorter games), so older words stay fresh. They never affect the pack's star, and you can turn them off in Settings.
• Mixed tile style: each word now appears in one style, changing from word to word.
• Apple Pencil: writing on the board now follows your pressure, light for a fine line, firm for a bold one.
• Sound effects and spoken words now keep playing after a call, Siri or another app's audio.
• Writing practice: a round's count now includes only the characters you wrote.
• Fixed: a tap could now and then land on the tile next to the one you tapped.
