Klewos is a unique word search app with a focus on language learning with thousands of hand-picked words organized by categories and lessons!
It currently supports seven languages: English (US), French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish (Spain).
You can find three modes for three moods.
"Learn" mode
• Small levels of 3 words.
• A review every once in a while to challenge yourself (The reviews can't be failed, no stress!).
• Ideal for short and relaxing sessions.
• Exclusive "Sentence" gameplay where you need to fill out missing words from proverbs, idioms, movie quotes, songs and so on.
"Play" mode
• Many categories (always more to come) with over a hundred words each.
• Configure the size of the grids (Tiny, Small, Medium, Large).
• Configure the density of the grids (Sparse, Balanced, Dense).
• Configure the gameplay (Classic, Translation, Hidden, Kanji).
• Decide on having a chill experience or an intense one.
"Create" mode
• Create your own lists of words with no limit.
• Play your own creations with all the usual configuration options seen in "Play" mode.
• Language support extended to 14! You can generate grids in the 7 base languages + Chinese (traditional and simplified), German, Greek, Hindi, Portuguese and Vietnamese.
You can also find these features:
• PRINT and SHARE any grid!
• iCloud support for your progress.
• Dark mode support.
• Change your source language in addition to your target language.
• Japanese support includes kanji, hiragana and katakana.
• iPads with a keyboard and a built-in trackpad support.
• Customizable daily reminders.
One great feature of Klewos is that it allows for passive and immersive learning: You can play word search puzzles even if you are tired or just want to relax. Your subconscious will do the rest.
If you choose to subscribe to an optional Premium plan, payment will be charged to your Apple account, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Auto-renewal may be turned off at any time by going to your settings in the App Store after purchase. A lifetime option is available and requires you to first cancel your subscription.

I am teaching myself Korean, but I learned Hangul first. With this app, I am able to actually see my hard work spelled out before me I. A word search. I identify, get assistance with pronunciation and LEARN! The only issue I have is with the font being adjustable. I really need to be able to make them larger- I sometimes misread due to the learning fonts being so small. Thank you Jerome for getting back to me👍🏾 *UPDATE: Thank you, Jerome! I am so happy with the larger font. So much easier to read and I”m loving the game even more!

Great Way To Study!

This app is fairly new to me, as of April 2024, but I have been studying with it for about an hour and I enjoy the method and gradual progression!It starts off simple with small word puzzles and gradually builds up to bigger ones (9+ words in your target language), it seems to switch between your native language in the word bank, which allows you to practice reading your target language in the actual puzzle. And at the Review section, you’ll have your target language in the word bank below and this has helped me to pinpoint what words I need to study more.You can even customize how hard you want to study with each puzzle, which I like. I’m excited about this new app! :D

I like the concept, but there doesn’t seem a way to repeat a lesson. So, each category of words is broken down into smaller vocabulary lessons that build on each other. However, I can’t find a way to repeat a lesson. Without that, the game isn’t worth paying for.
