Such an amazing app but

I downloaded this app back in January 2024 to care for a money tree plant that was gifted to me. I knew nothing about plant care but this app really allowed me to care for it. My plants growth was astonishing. I was gifted a snake plant in June and that has since reproduced and grown as well. I recently purchased a second money tree but I noticed that you cannot add multiple plants of the same type into your garden. This would definitely be a great addition for people who have multiple plants of the same type but it two different stages of growth. Although my snake plant has since reproduced, I have not yet separated them so I did not realize you cannot add multiple not add multiple plants of the same species into your garden. This feature should be added unless I’m just missing something.

I purchased the app for a lifetime subscription. $60 is nothing to me. It does identify most plants correctly but there are times it doesn’t. Sometimes it will keep the picture of my actual plant but other times it will display other saved photos of the plant. I use this for the most part to identity when I should water certain plants but to definitely “identify” the type of plant and the care it needs. Again, it’s hit or miss now but a year ago it seemed to be more accurate. I don’t have any regrets per se, but I do wish it could identify plants a little better. Also if it could show you the difference of having plants in the ground versus in pots in whatever area you are living in.

Took pictures of 5 plants to check on what I might be doing right or wrong. One plant I too the picture for the APP named it (incorrectly) but didn’t even have a picture for it. I took a few different pics at diff angles, same result each time and still no image to prove them accurate. Another plant that has 1/2” wide long leaves the app kept showing a plant that had 2”+ wide leaves that was a solid green color. WRONG AGAIN. A 3rd & 4th plant the same results. Only one it did get right it offered zero useful info for me. APP is a waste of time. I also wonder if the “free trial” period on this “weekly subscriptions”, which are expensive for a plant app, purposefully give you less accurate info that is less than their lower subscription level. Deleted on the 6th plant. Zero good info

Cancelled a subscription going through Apple. This developer uses a 3rd party payment processor which continued charging my credit card even when I cancelled my subscription through Apple. I contacted the developer and they stated they couldn’t find an active account in my name. Come to find out the 3rd party created an account using an email address that I don’t recognize and continued charging my credit card and not going through Apple. Apple stated they I have to go through the developer even though I never went through them in the first place and went through the App Store. If you research the address that the 3rd party uses, you’ll see a link to the BBB of numerous other people having the same problem and getting charged even if you cancel subscription through Apple
