The playful way to train perfect pitch. Test yourself across 7 octaves, earn badges as you improve, and track your best accuracy for every note. Pitch Parade is an app for training and testing perfect pitch, the ability to identify a musical note without the aid of a reference tone. [Features] - Simple, beautiful and easy to use design. - 84 real grand piano sounds spanning 7 octaves. - Separate Play and Test modes. - Option to select any combination of the octaves. - Seven levels of proficiency, with an earnable badge for every octave. - Track your latest and best accuracy for each note. - Guest Mode to let your friends have a go at the test. - No sign-in or account needed to use the app. - One-time purchase — no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. - We respect your privacy. The app does not send us any form of information. [Important] Perfect Pitch is a very rare skill which, as per the current understanding, has to be trained and acquired at a very young age, most preferably below 7. However recent studies suggest that individuals with higher general auditory working memory may be able to practice and improve pitch recognition abilities well beyond this critical period. Need more than 1 octave displayed.

The free app only allows you to show one octave at a time. I have no idea what the pro version offers as I cannot find a description of what the upgrade really is. I’m not going to plunk down $2 in the hopes of *maybe* getting something useful out of it.

Developer Response
Dear Videlia1, in both free and pro versions you can select multiple octaves. However this needs to done before you enter the Test mode (ie clicking the Start button). With Pro version, it tracks your accuracy against the selected octaves, and displays them in corresponding colours, above the octave number. You also get a Guest mode that doesn’t tamper with your statistics. This information is available on the app via the Info button (to the left of C# key) in the non-test mode. Also on our website (link on the App Store page of the app).

A brand-new release, rebuilt for the latest iPhones and iOS. • All features now included for everyone — every proficiency level and Guest Mode are unlocked, no upgrade needed. • Refined for modern devices, with performance and reliability improvements throughout. Thanks for your support — please consider leaving a rating on the App Store.
