The app allows users manage appointments for their patients, perform examinations and capture high-quality images and videos of the eardrum and the ear canal. - The Tympa Mobile App is not a standalone medical device, but is part of the Tympa Otoscope System encompassing hardware and software components. The intended use statement is as follows; 'The Tympa Otoscope System is a device intended to allow inspection of the external ear canal and tympanic membrane under magnification. The device provides illumination of the ear canal for observation by using a battery-powered light source and an optical magnifying system.
The Tympa Otoscope System also contains a hearing check within the Mobile App that produces controlled levels of test tones intended to identify individuals who may benefit from a diagnostic hearing evaluation.' - Safety Information
