One of the most important tools for weight loss is journaling. The database of food items is awful. It doesn’t even include the items listed on the “shipping list” provided to you by the office. It also freezes and require one to log out to move forward. The ability to add items manually is also almost impossible. The amount of money charged by this company, an up to date app should be a given!

Seeing the reviews from five years ago And working with the app current day shows that there may have been some improvement on this app, but not much. PROS: This app is helpful for seeing your progress at a glance, it’s aesthetically, pleasing to the eye, and has some very important data listed. It’s also great to see your appointment date if you forgot to take an appointment card or don’t follow the emails that are sent for your appointment.CONS: it’s very quirky. Some of the back arrows do not work all of the time, the screen buttons at the bottom are off screen and not fit for the phone, and the data is not always up-to-date. It takes a minute most days to update however, sometimes the data is just not there. For example, none of my badges are up to date nor the tracking of my wellness visits. Not sure if that’s the developers fault or the people in the office; however the office is showing it’s in their system. The other annoying thing is, the app lets you enter your own food into a list, but it doesn’t allow you to apply those foods to your daily food journal! What is the use of me entering them in if I can’t assign them in my every day journal? Lastly “Manage my favorites” instantly crashes the app! Very disappointing! I work in systems and I wish I could jump in to correct this app because it would be an amazing asset to the program if it worked properly.

I have tried many times to use your journal in the app. I am not in maintenance. I still have 20 more pounds to go. However, this is the third time that I’ve tried to use the app to journal. The app is difficult to use on my phone as all items are not available and the mobile does not allow adding my own foods. I don’t work a job that keeps me in my computer all day. When I sit in front of my computer twice a week I can’t always recall my foods. The mobile app has to be more user friendly to be worth it. I’ve abandoned my notebook method to use the app and have been sorely disappointed. If you’re going to provide tools, they must work and count properly for acute plan as well.

I was hoping the app would be more like the workbook journal- no dice. I tried tracking food, but it requires me to put in all of the information. I was hoping it would make life easier but only seems to complicate. Curiously, it is not adaptable to all phones. I have an iPhone 12 and a quarter of the screen is cut off/out of alignment. I see great potential, but only witness limitations. I really hope this is not indicative of the weight loss program overall!!
