Background Cleanup. PhotoWash finds NSFW photos while you sleep or charge - 100% on-device AI. One tap to hide, blur or delete. Nothing ever uploads. PhotoWash is an artificial intelligence app that scans your photo album on demand or in background while you are asleep or on charger to identify all of your NSFW (Not Safe For Work) images. Programmed to identify nudity, medical images, and pictures of an adult nature, PhotoWash is the easiest way to help keep your private photos safe. Whether sharing photos on social media, live streaming to your TV, or scrolling through your phone, PhotoWash offers peace of mind that you will not accidentally expose your private life at the most awkward of moments. During a family dinner, a professional meeting, or even while paying for your morning coffee, your lovely barista may not appreciate seeing your extracurricular interests on your phone. To avoid all of the above, PhotoWash your photo album. Store your NSFW images in a separate folder or delete them from your phone. The choice is yours. Regain control of your photo album and download PhotoWash today! Terms of Use https://appbakery.ee/photowash/terms.html Privacy Policy https://appbakery.ee/photowash/privacy.html

Freemium Bait & Switch dark pattern

I would give this app **** four stars if they listed the fees upfront instead of hiding it in their paywall that doesn't block you until the very last step. I would've gladly paid up front & given a positive review. It's not that expensive, is the deception really necessary?

Thanks for taking the time to leave detailed feedback - we genuinely appreciate it.PhotoWash uses a freemium model, which is a common and legitimate way to let users explore an app’s functionality before committing to a purchase. The intention is not to mislead, but to allow people to see the value of the app in real use, rather than asking for payment up front without context. That said, pricing and subscription information is disclosed on the App Store product page, as required by Apple, and is also clearly shown before any purchase is completed. No charges are made without explicit confirmation. We understand, however, that some users prefer even clearer upfront signalling. Based on feedback like yours, we’re planning to introduce an explicit free trial option to make the experience more transparent and comfortable for everyone. Thanks again for sharing your perspective - it helps us improve both the app and how we present it.

Works, But Requires a Few Steps

Surprisingly few apps (if any) currently accomplish what Photowash does. It scanned by camera roll in a matter of minutes and flagged all kinds of photos that I would prefer hidden. Of course, it flagged a lot of innocent photos, too. That’s where a manual selection process after the scan is key. Then, it creates a NSFW folder in your photos. But WAIT, the job isn’t done yet. These photos will still show in your camera roll unless you go into the NSFW folder in Photos and select all and hide them. Not a big deal, but it’s one extra crucial step you might forget. I found that repeating the scan, move, and hide process several times was necessary to sufficiently sanitize the camera roll. But to my knowledge there aren’t any other apps out there that do this better!

Thank you so much for such detailed feedback! We are happy to let you know that we plan to introduce couple more features including deep clean that helps with image removal. If you would like to be a beta tester for the app please reach out on support@appbakery.ee

It said it found 2.7k photos and while yea some of those were nsfw most of them were like pictures of my cats and random family photos and it completely ignored the image of someone 🐱 that was on my phone less than a week ago If you use it definitely comb through the results before deleting them

NEW: Background Cleanup PhotoWash now works while you sleep or charge. It quietly scans new photos in the background and asks for a one-tap approval when it finds something sensitive - hide, blur, or delete. Also in this release: - Faster scans with lower battery use - UI polish and small fixes - Still 100% on-device. Nothing ever uploads.
