Well its just me
I've been using Art Text since the original release. It's one of those apps that I open once or twice a month for something, and never really forget about. Given how long it's been around, I actually consider this high praise. WIth the 4.2 release, animation features have been added that make this so much more useful for me, so I expect I'll go from a couple of times a month to several times a week.This is a thoughtfully designed app, and a Mac app through and through. It's a lot of fun to play with, but also very useful. Most recently, I created art for a badge we will award students, and I frequently use it for eye-catching graphics to break up long text passages in content I create for the classroom. Now these will be even MORE eye-catching, with animation!My advice is to buy this app now before Be Light realizes what a great addition this is and raises the price!

Interface a little clunky, but nifty tool

Easy, fun, and fast way to whip out a decent, eye catching graphic with very little effort; it's a good immediately-reach-for tool when you need something high quality and quick. I bought it on a whim, and frankly have been more impressed than I expected. Would recommend, it does some clever things and has a lot of really nice styles.Every once in a while, I do get frustrated when trying to do something simple -- change a particular attribute here, alter that layer there, tweak the canvas a bit this way, alter that object that way. Not everything is where I'm expecting them from years of using pro-tools. That said, the app has a wonderous Undo capability, which means you can freely experiment and if you really break your design, you can get back to a point where you were happy and try again.Note, this is not a high-end 3D rendering tool, so you're not making scenes, you aren't doing renders, you don't have pixel twiddling control, and so on. It's focus is text, and it shines at that. The quality you see in the previews is spot on with what the app makes.What I dislike is that all the styles come across in a store-front, so you feel like you're being nickled and dimed along the way. Personally, I'd rather drop one fix price and get everything -- however, I understand why they do it, so they can keep offering more. The size of what's in the packs can often make it feel not worth it for many.The danger with any tool like this that starts with pre-made templates is that any designs you make will look very similar to -other- designs made with the same tool by other people. So, I wouldn't recommend just changing the text and making that be your next logo or splash page. However, the tool gives a lot of options for changes and customizations -- use them, you'll be fine.

They seemed to have fixed some of The Problems with AT3, such as Shadows being cut off when i copy & paste The Text to Pages. If you're exporting The Palette though, Everything has to be inside The Boarders. i thought that maybe that : Effects/Distortions/Roundness would allow me to 'Fatten' up The Text, as can be done with 3D Text, but it works somewhat differnetly. There are loads of New Things, & The Controls have been rearranged a little bit. The Extras are kind of Expensive, but they're Not really required. You can achieve any of The Store Bought Effects on your own after you become familiar enough with it ! One other that eluded me for a long time was, that you can create any black & transparent image as a .png or .gif & use it in AT3 or 4. Simply find it from : Shapes/Customfolder. It's still missing a few things, such as recessive text, as you might see in engraved roman carvings. & i would kind of like to see a 'SaladToss' Feature in which AT4 or 5 would Create a Completely Unique Combination of Features on it's own ( !!! )
Best app for 3D text work

Let start by saying this app is amazing. They continuiously update it with new types of 3D fonts. The app is very user friendly easy to learn and use. The only thing I dont like about the app is how limited the fonts are. The fonts they have are super amazing, do not get me wrong, I believe there should more. I would like to see an Old English or maybe Comic San font that can be used in 3D. Overall this is worth it and its just a 1 time fee.

I would like to add one clarification though, Art Text can use all fonts that are available in your macOS system and create a 3D text with it. If you want more 3D text templates created by us with these fonts used, you can use Art Text Help menu > Request a Design Set, provide as more details as you can and our designers will consider it for future set releases.
